Ill be honest, when i see TRX suffer, that puts a smile on my face. Im not one of those guys that loves all crypto or thinks that every project can succeed and that we should all hold hands. I think thats a foolish thought thats shown to be wrong many times. Even now youre seeing it with Steem slipping towards no.100 in MC.
Why should i hold this token instead of that other one?
Its a simple question that clearly shows that holding hands aint possible. You can collab between chains, but those alliances are short lived and on wobbly legs. Its a doggy dog world and when i see and overvalued, overhyped token suffer, im happy, what can i say.
Anyways….
So what happened the other day is that some disgruntled protesters showed up at the offices of a partner of the Tron Foundation mad, yelling that Tron is a scam. Apparently some group defrauded some folks using Tron name and the video of the protest went online where it appears the offices were raided by police.
Now, that probably isnt true, it just seems that they have been watching the protest. Take a look for yourself.
It seems that this wasnt really anything of note that will bring the behemoth built on cheap hype down. I wanted to share this because its just fun for me seeing Tron in trouble. When Steemit inc layed off folks, that was probably the trigger for Steem to drop out of the top100 tokens. Dan Larimer gloated, EOS cockroaches crawled out to gloat, crypto influencers that tried and failed on Steemit hit Steem when it was down….
So what do i say when Justin has to do damage control and his shitty antics arent fooling anyone??
About a month back I bought a petrol powered strimmer, so I could maintain our yard and the border around it as well. Summers in Portugal also unfortunately mean fires and in areas where the fires were quite damaging the last few years, the policing of properties is quite active and fines are steep if your property is overgrown.
We got a guy in with a tractor to do most of the cutting, as the grass was quite tall, but I still need to clean the edges as well as the part between the trees which has so much wire, we asked the guy to just skip it.
The strimmer came with a metal blade, which I have not used (more on that later) as well as the normal auto-feeding kind, that you get with pretty much any weed whacker. This makes use of a nylon cord that auto dispenses when you push the end onto the ground.
I ended up buying a replacement made out of aluminium. At €10 it was not the cheapest, but still about a quarter the price of a ‘quality’ plastic one.
Here it is almost finished installed. I do love the look of turned metal!
Here’s whats left of the plastic one that came with the strimmer. It flew apart as I was cutting some grass, I am missing some of the parts, like the spring and two washers.
To be honest I really do not think I was that hard on it. I certainly did not handle it roughly nor bash it into rocks or anything like that. The sections where the top piece clip in seem particularly weak, here you can see a whole piece broke off.
On the cover, you can see a clip broke off too, somehow it wore holes in the side of this piece too, where the plastic seems particularly thin.
Same happened almost all the way around. This made me quite unhappy. The rest of the strimmer seems ok-ish, nowhere near as weak and brittle as this part.
The replacement part in pieces, instead of auto dispensing, you need to cut the cord to length then clamp it using the allen head bolt.
The part on the left is bolted to the end of the strimmer and the kit came with a few different washers, seemingly allowing it to be fitted to different models/makes.
Here the first part is attached, as you can see it just bolts onto the shaft.
The part that holds the cord is then screwed into the threads. It all feels nice and solid and likely will hold up to much more use / abuse than the plastic one ever could.
Here’s the metal blade I mentioned before. I have no doubt that its more effective than the nylon cord I am using, but it’s not allowed here (they still sell it in the stores though?). Apparently these could cause fires, if you hit a stone or rock with them, there could be a spark starting a fire and then big problems.
Two years ago there were really bad fires where a number of villages were badly affected, with a number of deaths because of the forest fires and people left without homes. Whether these things can start a fire or not I am not going to take any chances.
Post workout shot. It’s done some work and I have changed the cords, it’s actually pretty trivial and I find it much quicker / simpler than trying to wind that damned cord into the previous plastic housing. In my mind this is more convenient that the other way.
It also has the added benefit of being lower, almost double the distance from the shaft. This helps me as I am fairly tall, and was finding the agle I had to hold the strimmer at was not great. It’s still not ideal, but is a bit better.
The rest of it looks fairly new, it should, it’s not had a hard life.
Maybe this is just a case of an ok tool being let down by cost cutting on a part that will see the most wear? I am not sure, I will have to see how things go. I don’t know too much about the Einhell brand, but it looks to be like all the others where it has a European brand but all the actual manufacturing happens in China. Not alway a bad thing, unless you drop the ball on quality control that is…
Another stagnant-price week = Another Good Chance for building your account on the Steem blockchain.
No one likes to see our beloved blockchain losing places at the coinmarketcap list week after week. We have touched the 77th position this week and we are now at the 74th, hope we have touched the bottom… What is clear is that still there are so much Liquid Steem in the Exchanges but I think the increasing trend is decelerating a little, I guess that the reductions on withdrawals to exchanges by @steemit this week is helping a little.
However, as I said in the first paragraph, I remember many people complaining about how expensive was to buy Steem at the time it was costing 4, 5 or 6 USD each, and many of them were almost hoping to see a lower steem price in order to buy and compound/build their accounts.
Ok, so the good time for buying STEEM is NOW.
Despite the current correction of the Crypto Market, BITCOIN is growing, scaling in price, recovering its dominance.
Altcoins, as STEEM, are struggling behind because now, what people is looking at is mainly how to accumulate BITCOIN instead, anyway if for doing so they will lost their investment in other crypto projects…as ours.
What too many people is forgetting when doing this is that once BITCOIN will stabilize its dominance, the transference period will arrive and so, those who have been building their accounts day by day will have their prize…
And then, we will read and hear again people complaining about “how expensive will be to build their Steem account at the current prices” and “what a pity I did not invest 150$ to become a minnow when Steem was so cheap…”
Believe me, that will happen again.
Don’t look for better Social Related Blockchains, STEEM is the one and only. The development is higher here, the communities are stronger and the level of decentralization, despite not being perfect, is also good.
For me there are three important words in order to self-success at the STEEM blockchain:
INVESTING
ENGAGING
COMPOUNDING
Probably, the most important is ENGAGING but the combination with the other 2, INVESTING and COMPOUNDING, makes as a result the SUCCESS in the platform.
SBI SPONSORING
My SBI shares for this week are going to @javirid , @anaclark and @mrhill .
@javirid has already crossed the line of “MINNOW HOOD” a few days ago, I am super happy for him. Additionally, he has revealed this week the project on which @javirid is working on. He has not explained it in detail but it seems to be an Steem-based dapp in order to provide an interface of @dsound application . As I said many times before, this guy deserves to be supported and followed because besides being a good developer, he has a clear thinking and very interesting opinions about any topic, from politics to Blockchain technology.
@anaclark stole my heart a few weeks ago… however, she stopped writing for a while a few weeks ago, but now she is back fully motivated and willing to understand as much as possible about our Blockchain. I would recommend you to read this post and this post from her which are very interesting. She is starting to understand how the Steem Blockchain works so she is posting questions openly about SP, SBD, Power up/down, rewards… I think she is already hooked by the project (LoL).
Besides the @steembasicincome share I am going to delegate some SP to her, just to give her some release in terms of Resource Credits “maneuverability”.
@mrhill , another guy who deserves more attention. He is really progressing very fast and also has received a delegation recently from @grider123 . He has wrote an amazing post about “COMPOUNDING SP” with some interesting experiences in.
All in all, they represent really good candidates for the #tenKminnows@steevc initiative,
Been looking at the twitterverse lately. @nathanmars still going strong pushing Steem exposure forward. Bitcoin maximalists talking trash and shilling Bitcoin like its the second coming when in reality its the FORD T of crypto right now. Binance listed Dogecoin yesterday (facepalm) with the justification of:
Elon Musk mentioned it that one time!
Dogecoin went up 40% that day (i assume there was a correction soon after)… But it begs the question of how the hell did it end up at 30 in MC anyway?
I never understood this. The coin itself is a joke, had almost no development whatsoever for a long time and you hold it instead of putting it into a project with greater value and potential? It doesnt even have to be something you research thoroughly, something thats hyped up like Tron, supported like Bitcoin…. It can literally be anything. You could literally write all the top 100 cryptos without Dogecoin, each on a piece of paper and pull them out of the hat and you would draw a superior token to Doge. Yes even BSV.
But look at the other projects. Ive talked trash about ETC being listed on Coinbase. When i tried researching ETC and its usage. What i found is almost no info on any dapps and 200 times less daily transactions then STEEM.
Take a look at TRON. Hyped beyond belief, filled to the brim with gambling dapps and still has less transactions then STEEM… Im not saying transactions stats are be all, end all, but JustinTRON loves to proclaim when ever Tron passes EOS in any metric.
A few days ago i wrote this tweet:
And i really do believe it.
If McAfee said he would cut of his penis if BTC isnt at a million USD by whatever date, i will copy his wager and say that if STEEM ever reaches 10 billion USD, a third of ETH market cap right now, and one of the Steem social dapps doesnt overtake Facebook, ill cut my penis off as well and toss it into the long dark night never to be seen again. lol
On a more serious note.
The fact that we are seeing lackluster projects taking top spots in Marketcap is for me a warning sign. It shows to me that the market has a very hard time evaluating projects. Seeing Doge being listed on Binance strengthens that belief.
You can say im wrong to do so, but I will question the future of any market that sells trash assets at a premium price in the long term.
I believe that crypto has a sound foundation. I believe it has the potential (important word) to change the world, but to realize that potential the market needs to take a serious look at itself.
Ruining the perception of the outside world about cryptocurrencies will bring nothing good to anyone in the long run.

As someone who is starting up a new business, you ear must have been full of words from the horror stories of business failure after business failure. Listen to people who consistently denies, criticizes, or doubts and they will make you have the belief that not less than 89% of all new businesses are destined to record failure. However, the actual fact is a light on your path to achieving success in your new business: The U.S. Bureau of Labor made their findings and recorded that 75% of new businesses do not fail in the first year, 69% make it through the first two years, and 50% keep the survival going for good five years. Going by this record, it means you have a 50-50 chance of surviving to five years without recording failure in your new business. I know this doesn’t sound that great, but you can’t just sit down, fold your hands and let chance be a dictator of your own fate in that business. Which is the more reason I appreciate that this awesome article came up just at the right time for people looking to start up a new business. I will be giving some interesting points on what to do to survive the heat in this initial years of running a business, and they are as follows:
Create a Business Plan
I do say this that if you want to be successful as a businessman, then you really need what is called a business plan. Although it’s tempting to not want to care about having a business plan when you ain’t in search for an investor or loan. Even with that, I still want you to know that creating a business plan is a perfect way for you to make your vision more acute and effective. This tends to give you a proper and accurate insight into the problems your trying to solve, whose lives you are trying to improve and the best time for your product launch, sales and profitability. Just make sure your business plan is concise and detailed enough (in relation of target market, business model and others) to serve as a roadmap on your way to achieving success in that business.
Make sure to Reinvest in your business
I know how hard it is for someone who left a salaried job to practice entrepreneurship, to give up stability of the money received on payday as payment for work performed. But to come out realistic, you should try as much as possible to make sure the first money you make from that business is reinvested back into the company, your product and marketing, as this will help boost finances and increase revenue. In conclusion, you need to develop the attitude of pursuing a long term goal, because if you don’t then you might give up on the business in times of crises even before the business fail.
