Isle of Man TT 2019 – Todays results – Unfortunately Daley Mathison lost his life in the opening RST Superbike race.

Today’s 1st race was red-flagged on the 3rd lap after a horrific crash that claimed the life of 27 year old English road racer Daley Mathison.

The Isle of Man TT organisers released this statement :

“ACU Events Ltd regrets to confirm that Daley Mathison, 27, from Stockton on Tees, Durham was killed in an incident during the Superbike Race today at the Isle of Man TT Races.  The accident occurred at Snugborough, just over 2 miles into the Course, on the 3rd lap of the race.

Daley was an experienced competitor and was seeded 19th for today’s race.  He made his Mountain Course debut in the 2013 Manx Grand Prix Newcomers A Race, finishing fifth.  His TT career included three consecutive podiums in the TT Zero electric bike Race in 2016, 2017 and 2018 including the runner up position in the race last year, representing Nottingham University.

He also achieved an 11th place finish in last year’s Superstock Race and a pair of 13th place finishes in the 2017 and 2018 Senior TT Races.

He set his fastest lap of the Mountain Course – 128.054mph – in the 2018 Superstock race which made him the 34th fastest rider of all time. He set the second fastest TT Zero lap ever with lap of 119.294mph in the 2018 race.

In total he started 19 TT Races with 14 finishes and 3 podiums and won 6 silver and 8 bronze replicas

ACU Events Ltd wishes to pass on their deepest sympathy to Daley’s wife Natalie, his family and friends.”

Daley’s wife Natalie  posted this message on twitter.

” Not something I ever wanted to write but here we go…..

Daley, as Daisy says, is now sleeping with the fairies. That’s all I can bring myself to say right now. The last image I saw of my husband, was of a man so happy with life and so proud of his racing. xxxxxx “

Magic-farts exit scam. :(

@themarkymark mentioned it in a post today that the dice scammers @magic-dice just bailed. Took the money and ran.

I could say it was expected, i could say i somehow anticipated it, but id be lying. Now looking in retrospect all i can say is for everyone to try and keep safe.. safer.

What ever people might think about it, im one of the proponents of KYC. I dont have anything to hide, im not afraid of the government “getting me”, i am vaccinated and i dont believe Trump is lizard people or that Obama was a radical muslim.

In a lot of minds Steem is still not seen as “money” so people make some very dubious choices. Even Marky, a guy that you would expect to know everything about this blockchain made the bad decision of pumping tens of thousands of Steem and SBD through Magic Dice.

There is only one conclusion you can draw from this. You cant trust anyone that you cant find from a simple google search.

I mean take Ned for example. He messed up a lot of things, but he cant “scam you” because you can find him however you want. Witnesses like Matt or Aggroed. Those are the folks you can “trust” because moving from USA to the jungles of the Amazon is a big downgrade. lol.
It all boils down to this for me:

I can either see your face, have some kind of identification i can check or you cant have my money.

Keep safe guys… Theres always someone lurking to hurt you and take your hard earned $$$.

Building Minnows: Small SP Delegation to @anaclark + SBI Sponsoring [W5]

Still no important change regarding activity in the STEEM Blockchain…The number of active steemians keeps going down despite a little recovery experimented one month ago.

According to STEEMTOOL we are ending the week with 5165 daily active steemians that post around 8041 posts a day…

Anyway, I am fully confident it is a question of time that we will see the recovery of the activity… I think we are very dependant on the market conditions… if the market keeps growing, we will see a massive entry of newcomers and also people who has left trying to join again in the platform .

Last week I was pleased to have found a new steemian to follow straightly since her very first post, her name is @anaclark and I think she has a lot of talent for writing and describe her thoughts…

She wrote another great post which had not the great success as her first one had, anyway, I invite you to read it:

“This is My Little Ki”

@anaclarck started at steem as many others, with very poor Steem Power… actually, she run out of Resources Credits very rapidly while trying to reply some comments that she gets at one of her posts… one of the comments was mine…and she replied later on, telling that she was run out of SP…

I decided to delegate some SP to her so she can have some RC in order to interact more frequently.

Hope people like @anaclarck will find its way and remain here.

SBI Sponsoring

This week I am going to keep my @steembasicincome shares again to @marenontherun and @mrhill , and I am also adding one exceptional runner to the “party”, he is @king-cobra and he is at the doors of becoming Minnow as well so I think he can be a very good candidate for @steevc initiative #tenKminnows .

If you like running, maybe you would appreciate this post from @king-cobra:

“Running is my life” , it is an old post but a very good one.

And that’s all for this week folks!

Steem on.

MEOS is announced. Its called “Voice”

Looks like Block. One just made a run of the mill social app. From what i see right now it has a single unique feature or spending tokens to boost your comment. Thats what is supposed to give the token value.

Spending tokens to get your “voice” heard.

I mean it sounds fine i guess but thats just a small feature. MINDS has something similar. Spending tokens to boost your post and even though it works fine there i never found the tokens to be in demand or the platform very appealing.

I havent gotten into the beta, i did sign up, so i cant be sure 100% but this hardly looks like a STEEM killer. Maybe a MINDS killer because it reMINDS me of it. (Get it. lol)

STEEM has a million and one application and utility connected to its token and a silly ERC 20 type idea doesnt really seem like a competitor.

There are a few things i do like and thats the KYC and eliminating bots, abusers, scumbags and psychopaths. I never found this “hide your identity” stuff too appealing. It allows for a lot of abuse and im not someone perpetually in ideological war with “government”.
The thing is that i dont see “Voice” being censorship resistant at all. They might not act on it but “Voice” is just a centralized app from what i can see.
Unfortunately it seems that guys that left for MEOS (Voice) like Bernie or a few other circle jerkers and abusive characters will be coming back since i dont think Voice will allow for such abusive behavior they are used to. (You celebrated too early haha)

In the end i have to give a big “MEH” to what ive researched and seen so far. Maybe theres more behind it but we will have to wait a bit to find out more.

POS Masternodes made easy – Simple POS Pool review for beginners

How to invest in masternodes without any knowledge of virtual servers or wallet commands.

Masternodes are an alternative to crypto mining. A masternode is a pc/server running a ledger containing a full copy of a specific cryptocurrency’s blockchain, in exchange, the owner recieves payment for upholding the ledger and running transactions. This payment comes in the form of the currency being mined.
The main differences from mining are that you do not need expensive pc equipment (mining rig) to mine. However you do have to have a ‘stake’ in the coin. this amount various from coin to coin. ranging from just a few dollars worth of crypto to over a hundred thousand of dollars in the case of DASH masternode (currently $165,444 )

simplepospool.com Makes it easy to just buy a share in a node without having to invest in a full node. this means you can now invest as much as or little as you want so you can test the waters without having to risk a fortune. You also do not need any knowledge of setting up software, wallets, blockchains servers or anything techy.

Is it trustworthy?
Ive used their service now for a few months and have not had any problems at all. No issues with deposits or withdrawals (withdrawals are manual so are not instant, they require support to confirm) no issues with masternodes.

Please use this referral link when registering.
https://simplepospool.com/?ref=pcste

Basically you decide which masternode you are going to invest in and then you deposit that currency into your simplepospool account. you then click on masternodes and then select ‘available masternodes’
you then select how many slots you want to buy. Thats it. its that simple. You will then see a return every so many hrs/days depending on the coin you have chosen.
Make sure you check on ‘available masternodes’ to see how many coins are required per slot and if any slots are available. E.g. theres no point going to an exchange and buying 18 coins if a slot requires 20.

Sounds easy. well it really is. However choosing which currency to invest in is a different kettle of fish lol.
When i first started with masternodes i lost a couple of hundred dollars on bad choices.

The return for running a masternode differs vastly from coin to coin. Most on startup offer a massive return for running a node, often over a 1000% in the beginning, some ‘offer’ you a ROI (return of interest) within days rather than months. Dont be tempted by the percentage alone unless you are prepared to gamble.

Nearly all new crypto’s/tokens tend to have an inflated price when launched, then take a massive dive in price and then level out at a small perecentage of what they started at. (hence the massive ROI offerd by most)
As the price stabilises and more coins enter the market, the masternode (mining) ROI decreases.

You need to have a logical reason to choose a coin, don’t just go for the offer of riches.
If you are going to choose a new coin then choose it for a reason. i.e. who were the developers? have they had experience before? (some coins have devs from other stable coins) is the idea/concept sound? (check the white paper) does it sound too good to be true? There are so many coins/tokens out there, does this 1 have a place? does it solve a problem over others? there are many peeps jumping on the band wagon and making their own currency without much backing. if you buy a node by investing your hard cash/BTC you are the backing.

a good idea is to do some research and look at the trading history and check how many crypto currency exchanges the coin is listed on. If its listed on many then there’s a good chance there is faith and backing in the coin. check to see the price is stable or is on a downhill slide. How long as the coin been running? the longer its been running and the more exchanges is listed on and the more monetary trading volume gives it more chance of not crashing and being de-listed.

If you are unsure then start with a small investment, an amount you are willing to lose until you have experience, often you pay to learn with this game.

If you are really not sure but want to learn then maybe just throw £10-£20 at a masternode and then leave it for a few weeks or a month. You have to be patient with crypto, you will not make much quickly unless you are experienced with a LOT of cash. Patience is the game.

Heres an example : i recently invested $115 in SINS coin. https://masternodes.online/
The current ROI (annual) is 253.31% which is pretty good.
Notice its 2nd in the chart listing trading volume (currently $3,491,643) its also a decent dollar price at $6.5810 which means traders have some faith in it… Also if you then click on the link https://masternodes.online/currencies/SINS/ and scroll down you will see that the coin is listed on many exchanges.
It has also been running since oct 2018 and is now at a higher price than when it started (most start high then drop like a stone lol)

Or another coin that has been running for a good while and is pretty stable but with less return is PIVX. Investing in PIVX will currently get you a ROI (annual) 10.27%
Ok that’s not a ROI but its listed on many exchanges, has been running for over 1.5 years and has been at a relatively stable price for a good while now.
https://masternodes.online/currencies/PIVX/

I’m not necessarily saying you should invest in those 2 above, im just trying to point out things to look for. i.e. price, volume, longevity, listed on multiple exchanges, stability etc etc.
Don’t be impatient and research each coin you want to invest in. Don’t spend more than you are prepared to lose until you gain experience.

Visibility…

Following an interesting post of @whatsup today on which she asked about LISK blockchain and why it is so interesting since, apparently, it does not have what it seems to be a disruptive technology…

In the comments section of that post, there is one on which I fully agree 100%…

@jwolf states that, only at twitter, LISK has something like 183000 Followers… besides the technical aspects, not bad at all for a crypto located at the 39th position of the TotalMarketCap…

But, what about other cryptos… let’s say, what about Cryptos focused on DApps development, purely competitors of STEEM?

For instance, TRON is a relative “young” crypto project, younger than STEEM…but located at the 11th position of the TMC already, and I would say that this position is very solid…not like STEEM which has been losing positions month after month…

Besides EOS, I don’t think there is a better blockchain than STEEM in order to develop DApps and that’s why at the “State of the DApps website” the supremacy of STEEM is evident…

But man, STEEM keeps being invisible for the audience…

Do you know how many followers we have on twitter?

5634 followers?

106000 followers of the Steemit account…

Do you know how many there are at TRON?

424000 Followers?

Are we invisible for the audience? I’m afraid it is so…

If we want this Blockchain to success we should focus on improving this aspect more than any other…

Still so much work to do guys…I hope we can focus on marketing as soon as Steem Inc will deploy the expected Economical Changes by hardforking the blockchain…or, why not starting NOW?
