I have Fibromyalgia and inflammatory rheumatoid arthritis, which in the past few years has crippled me at times.
The western pharmaceuticals have not worked for me. infact some have made me worse.
Vioxx (now removed after causing deaths) sulfasalazine, methotrexate, hydroxychloroquine , Azathioprine, steroid injections, gold injections have all given me bad side effects and have done nothing to improve my health.
Ironically since i stopped taking any of the above, my health has started to improve.
Also in the past few months i started courses in mindfullness & meditation and Reiki first degree. I have also started taking high doses of Vitamin D.
For the first time in years my health has started to improve.
Reiki and meditation has definitely improved my health, phsyically and mentally. If you suffer from ill health i would definitely recommend trying a reiki or meditation course. They work on so many levels.
For me i started to see an improvement in my mood and sleep straight away . for many years now i have been in constant pain and exhaustion so to suddenly get better sleep and motivation has had a beneficial knock on effect on my health. I feel things are now starting to improve.
I am going to continue studying meditation and reiki and will be starting reiki second degree in a few weeks.

This last week i decided to check out two of the biggest engagement contests on Steem and Whaleshares. One is run by @abh12345 called “Curation and Engagement league” which essentially tracks your engagement and curation statistics over the course of the week and the other is the “Beast challenge” on Whaleshares run by @lexiwitness.
Thats not a weekly thing like the engagement league but it does happen fairly often. You get a number of posts and comments you need to make in a period of time. The first one i saw was i think 1000 comments (no spam) and the one im doing right now is:
5 days, 5 posts (+150 words), 300 comments.
Above all else i have to say that this is damn hard. Ive been listed in the engagement league for a week now and i didnt even make the list the first week. lol. I think i made 90 comments with a 20k character length while there are folks with almost 10 times that. Never thought i was so far behind. 🙂
The beast challenge ive been doing for one day and i barely got 20 comments in.
How in the world do you come up with something smart to say all the time! haha
Im not the kind of guy that will say:

That seems kind of cheap. (Unless you really need to say thank you. haha)
I like to make my comments unique, memorable, annoying, hilarious … intellectually stimulating. mmmm. 😀
Which is why it can get hard (I think theres a joke in there somewhere) thinking up my next comment.

Ive been browsing the interwebs these last few day on info about this supposed bull market we will be seeing this year and that made me start thinking about what happens if there actually is a bull run and crypto moons again.
What happens if BTC goes to 50k and STEEM goes to $10?
Im someone that considers himself a longterm investor in STEEM, meaning that i will never completely powerdown. 5-10 years from now ill still be rocking a few thousand STEEM no matter the price. (or so i believe right now)
When i started up on Steemit 1 year ago, that was my first contact with cryptocurrencies. I knew absolutely nothing.
All i knew was that i can earn some cryptocurrency on Steemit. Thats about it.
Fast forward 1 year and i accumulated quite a bit (by my standards) of STEEM, WLS and bought a few other assets as well. Crypto was never my main source of income. It actually never was a source of income for me. In 1 year of my time here i have never sold a single STEEM and withdrew it to my account to spend it.
The only time i took STEEM out is when i needed to give someone their share of a payout and they wanted it in cash. But i personally never spent a cent of it.
That is mostly because my account is pretty small and my crypto holdings all together arent more then a couple thousand dollars worth which doesnt even make it worthwhile taking out. Also im of a belief that we arent even at 1/100th of the price STEEM has the potential to reach.
But one day STEEM might reach a new ATH and when it does, i could find myself sitting on something like 100k USD.
What then?
Will i be as “long term” as i am now when by selling my STEEM i could build not 1, but 2 houses from the money i made sharing opinions on stuff, pretending to be a blogger.
Financially, im pretty well off, but 100k USD is still a lot of money. Nothing to scoff at.
At what price point is a belief in the tech, in the idea of crypto, its potential and future replaced with:
Time to get my Lambo!
Are you that certain of crypto taking over from fiat that you will refuse to sell, ever? Who is brave and certain enough in that outcome to take that risk?
Honestly…. Im curious to see if i am. lol

Its been a long winter this year in the UK. We are still not out of the woods, still getting the odd ground frost but its time to get things going as the allotment is looking a bit of a mess.
I decided to buy a new polytunnel to get seeds and cuttings started.
1st job to do was to dig and level the ground and lay some membrane to keep the weeds at bay. My arthritis means i struggle with the digging so thanks to @pedrosgali, @shammyshiggs, Diz, Spike and Max for the help.
Polytunnel looks pretty good and does the job.
Time to get planting. 🙂
Do i post a meme, do i write how i love some song, do i gossip a bit? I dont know. I just know i dont feel productive today.
Its one of those days you just want to grab a cold beer and lay around but are too lazy to go to the supermarket and get one, or 5.
When you think about watching a show on Netflix but cant be bothered to scroll through the menus with your remote control.
I just might write this post in increments of 10 minutes…
Just watched the Joker trailer on youtube. It looks pretty damn awesome. Joaquin Phoenix looks amazing as the Joker. I hate when something is overhyped before it comes out (ADA @enforcer48 :P) but i have to say that he might be on par with Ledger. Yes, i said it!
Look at that psychotic face. Troubled childhood. Deranged behavior. Awkward demeanor. Beautiful! Give him half a million SP and he will be a twin. (Whoops) haha
What else. Watched a animated show on Netflix yesterday. Its called “Love, death + robots”.
The Netflix promo looked awesome, the aesthetics looked awesome. What i didnt know is that the show producers were screwed in the head. lol
To keep it short, the show feels like it was made by M. Night Shyamalan on steroids! First episode i watched i was amazed as to how bonkers it was.. The show is absolutely mental. A series of animated 15 minutes shorts with self contained storylines with each being memorable for a unique reason. Directed by Tim Miller (Deadpool) and produced by David Fincher.
What else? Made some vegetable soup, tastes like you would imagine it would. Im really bad at cooking haha.… But at least i didnt add kale. Kale tastes awful, but i have to say something that is indeed a very strange statement to make: It can look awesome when you have a talent for photography. Huh? 😀
I have no idea why this photo attracted me so much, but ive been sneakpeeking it for the last couple days for some strange reason. Tell me this doesnt look gorgeous.

Ive seen some backlash from folks about STEEMIT.INC adding ads to their site. While i can understand that people might be pissed about it, i see this as a good thing. I usually have my adblock on (The Brave browser works slow for me) but in the case of Steemit i decided to turn it off.
Not only did i turn my ADBLOCK off, i also made a promise to myself to click at least 1 ad a day in case the advertiser opted for a CPC advertising model (Cost per click) instead of a CPM model (Cost per 1000 impressions).
Look, i know Steemit.inc messed up and that its their fault and their fault only that they are in a position they are now. But now is not the time to keep hammering on that point… Repeating the same thing over and over again. Whats the point of that?
Its time to help any way we can. I cant code nor am i one of the cool kids that can get their voice heard by Steemit.inc and affect change that way. I cant do any of that and neither can most of us here….
I know a lot of people are emotional right now and that Steemit.inc is an easy target. I also know everyone is waiting for some miracle community effort.
The community needs to come together!
(I cringe so hard when i hear this platitude repeated over and over again, haha)
How about we just click the damn ads few times a day for a start? How about that as an idea? Thats a concrete thing you can do for Steem and the best thing of all is that you can do it right now, by yourself… Go do it now!
