Unusual Options Activity In GE – Part II

It was just five days ago that I talked about bearish unusual options activity in GE,

Unusual Options Activity In GE

GE has had one hell of a run the last since early December with the stock price increasing almost 100% in a little less than 3 months. Yesterday, I noticed unusual options activity in GE. The Smart Money bought a ton of the April 15 $9.50 and $9.00 put options.

I had no idea why the Smart Money was shorting GE, that is until yesterday. GE presented at the for JPMorgan’s Aviation, Transportation and Industrials Conference in New York Tuesday.

For those who follow me, know I have been a

on Consumer Staples for the last 12 months.  Due to inflation, interest rates, raw material input cost and Millennials preferring other alternatives, these companies in this sector don’t make money.  However, one company trying to buck the trend in the Consumer Staples sector is J.M. Smucker Company.

The J.M. Smucker Company is a packaged food maker and manufacturer of fruit spreads, retail packaged coffee, peanut butter, shortening and oils, ice cream toppings, sweetened condensed milk, and natural foods products in North America and has been around for more than 115 years.

Zscaler…A Player In Cloud Security

Zscaler, Inc. operates as a cloud security company worldwide. The company’s flagship services include Zscaler Internet Access solution that connect users to externally managed applications, including software-as-a-service applications and Internet destinations; and Zscaler Private Access solution, which is designed to provide access to internally managed applications, either hosted internally in data centers, and private or public clouds.

The mass movement of company and personal data to the cloud has only complicated things. Hackers are sending bots to scour GitHub, the source code management system, looking for digital access keys to Amazon Web Services and other cloud systems. In 2015, one careless

Bitcoin Technical Analysis: QUICK UPDATE

In yesterdays video we discussed why I felt price would climb back up to around $3,800 in the short term. Today bitcoin did spike just above $3,800, and is currently trading around $3,835. This move came with a nice increase in volume.

In today’s video analysis I discuss where price may go from here, key areas to watch and so much more. I hope you find it helpful.

Foot Locker Is Stubborn – Part 2

Three months ago I wrote a post about Foot Locker,

Foot Locker Is Stubborn

Foot Locker’s business model of serving as the middle man to sneaker manufacturer is total opposite to Nike’s future strategy of direct to consumer shoe seller.

More importantly, the digital commerce push has allowed Foot Locker to announcement of its first digital entry to mainland China, along with a presence in Hong Kong and Singapore.

The issue with the expansionary moves is that it’s expensive and will squeeze margins. The trade war tariffs may also hurt Foot Locker’s margins and impeded their expansion in China.

If price breaks to the upside,

Is Dr. Copper About To Breakout??? – Part 2

The amount of available copper stored in the London Metal Exchange’s (LME) warehouse system fell to 21,600 tonnes last week, the lowest level since 2005.

The year 2005 marked the start of an extraordinary six-year rally that was only briefly interrupted by the Global Financial Crisis. The copper price more than tripled over the period, topping out early 2011 at $10,190 per tonne.

What are super-low LME stocks telling us this time around? Is the world really running short of copper to the point there are just over 20,000 tonnes left in LME warehouses? The answer is clearly no.

Bitcoin Technical Analysis: PRICE DROPS…NOW WHAT?

Bitcoin is down nearly nearly 2% today as price dropped below the $3,800 support. It’s currently trading around $3,700 on Coinbase. This move was not unexpected as we’ve been watching price consolidate for nearly a week.

Looking at the daily chart, we can see it’s broken below the 21 day EMA. The next major support sits just above $3,600 on the 50 day MA.

Zooming all the way out on the weekly chart, we can see just how bearish the market still looks. I pointed out last week the tightening of price within what looks like a larger bearish pennant.
