EOS Price Fighting with Resistance Again

Like many other coins EOS rose last week spiking through a resistance area only to close above it.  Similar to what Ethereum did.
Eth did end up pushing through resistance to close higher.  Is EOS about to do the same?
Break on through to the other side
Looking at the chart you can see for roughly the past 48 hours price has been pressing that $5.60 area.
Now if you look left to the price action you will see that resistance line isn’t super clean.  A lot of action above and below it, which is why I like to look at “areas” as opposed

Ethereum Breaking Out on No Volume, Meh.

As you can see from the title I’m a bit of a skeptic on Ethereum’s move through resistance today.
At the time of this writing we still have more than an hour before the daily candle closes so I guess we need to see if price even ends above that $168 area.
Test and Break?
Crypto’s move last week saw ETH poke above this level only to get rejected.  Since then price consolidated for a few days and is now making that breakout push.
Normally I’d be loving it, but the lack of volume doesn’t make me all that excited although the move does

Will the Price of Steem Gear Up?

So as most of us saw, the price of steem didn’t really participate in the crypto market move earlier in the week.
However, we have seen a turn higher the past couple days which puts price in position to easily shoot up and test the resistance area around 58 cents.
Buyers Come Out and Play Please
He’s the rub though – volume, more so lack thereof.  The nice sized green candle we got yesterday came on very light volume and the current daily candle is off to a slow start.
Experience tells me that some volume buyers will need to come in for this

Ethereum Price: Predictable and Under Performing

Did everyone have some fun the past 48 hours with the crypto move?  If ETH is your favorite coin then maybe it wasn’t all that fun.
Failed Breakout
Ethereum did make a push and even pressed through it’s big resistance level.  However, unlike BTC and LTC it did not maintain and level up.
Looking at the chart in this post you can see ETH blasted through, well maybe blasted isn’t the right word, it pushed through the 168 area resistance, but unfortunately could not close above it and came tumbling back down with the rest of the market in last night’s profit taking

Litecoin Quietly Consolidates Before its Next Move

Looking at the litecoin chart a couple of things jumped out at me.
1.) The Declining Volume for the Month of March
2.) It consolidating sideways around $60, which is where it ran out of steam after the last move up.
Looking at the chart in this post you can see I noted the volume on the bottom right side of the chart with an arrow.
See how it has been drying up as March went on?
I’m not saying that is necessarily a bad thing, in fact I don’t mind at all that we are consolidating on light volume.  Sometimes that just means the

Is Bitcoin Price Teasing Us Again?

In recent days Bitcoin has creeped up toward the top of the trading range that it’s been stuck in for many months now.
Being we saw several alts level up in the past month it is easy to get excited that maybe, just maybe bitcoin will now do the same.
Looking at the chart things are a bit quiet though with volume rather light.  It will probably take a wave of buyers to come in and push this thing, where that comes from I am not sure.
Either way price is flirting with the opening/closing price highs that we have seen twice this

WhatsApp Crypto Wallet – That is a Mainstream Outlet for Sure

Honestly, up until about a year ago I didn’t even realize whatsapp was a legit app.  I literally thought it was some kind of spam.  Then I got introduced to people outside the U.S. and realized it is the most used messaging app elsewhere.
In fact, most Europeans don’t use the regular text messaging provided with your phone carrier, but use whatsapp instead.
So when news of a crypto wallet coming to whatsapp hits I had to take notice.
Looks like it will be functional to send BTC with something as simple as texting “send 0.01 BTC to John Doe.”
I will attached a

Pretty sure most cryptocurrencies are overvalued…. Duh.

I have been looking at the crypto market these last few days which led me to the Weiss cryptocurrency report. Anyone that reads my blog knows that im not a fan of a fair number of cryptos. Most of them arent really STEEM competitors but i have a dislike for them due to numerous reasons.
As you can suspect STEEM is listed really high in most of the crypto rankings. (B- on Weiss).
While i agree that STEEM should be high on the list i dont agree with some of the other ratings, but thats not here nor there.

As time goes by, im starting to notice more and more the importance of measuring actual crypto performance in the world.
If you just glance at the Coinmarketcap page and the top tokens in market cap, and check them out, you will realize that most of them have really poor adoption. There are even those used by barely a hundred or so people daily. Dont even need to talk about those with no working product whatsoever.
What about the hundreds of “transaction tokens” or “Privacy coins”? Do we really need Dash, LTC, BCH, BCSV, MONERO, DOGECOIN, DOGECOIN DARK (called VERGE now), BITCOIN GOLD, ZCASH…
I personally dont give a crap if my transactions are private.

I care more about keeping my browser history private then my transactions and account balance.

Vitalik Buterin – 2017.

Some might care, which is fine, but do we need a 100 of these tokens that do essentially the exact same thing? I mean we arent talking here Dapp building platforms where individual blockchain characteristics are hugely important.
I dont care if i can send a private transaction with DASH 13.3 seconds faster then with, i dunno, MONERO. Makes 0 difference to me….
Which begs the question as to why arent we seeing most of these coins falling away into obscurity?

I say Drugs. No other explanation. haha. 😀

Ill see you around.

Litecoin Still Outperforming the Market

Relative strength is something I speak about often and with good reason!  When a crypto is acting stronger than the broader market, what do you think will happen when the whole market catches a bid?
Litecoin Not Pulling Back Like The Rest
If you look at the chart in this post you can see the positive price action Litecoin has had in recent months.  Higher highs followed by higher lows consecutively.
Over the past week other alt coins that made a run have pulled back, but litecoin has mainly held steady with just a red candle today after a very shallow pullback if
