Bitcoin Technical Analysis: On Edge…The Bullish and Bearish Case

Bitcoin is once again testing the top of what appears to be a bullish ascending triangle. In my last update we discussed expecting resistance around $5,350. Daily volume remains relatively strong at just above $13 billion.

At the moment, most analysts are monitoring the 50 and 200 day MA. Will we get a Golden Cross?

Shorts have been stacking over the last 48 hours while longs are dropping. This does suggest a break up…at least temporarily to liquidate short positions.

While things are looking good for bulls overall, the bears may not yet be done fighting.

In today’s analysis I discuss the bullish and

Natural Gas Analysis Report 4-19-19…Price At Three Year Lows…Now What??

The spike in price came out of nowhere and in the process several hedge funds and pension funds suffered major losses. One hedge fund making major headlines was James Cordier, of Optionsellers.com His hedge fund blew up and he lost all of his client’s money selling naked calls on natural gas futures when price shot up nearly 20% in a single afternoon.

Natural Gas Analysis Report 11-29-18…Price Pauses At The Monthly Demand…Now What??

I honestly thought, price would move higher before it moved lower in the near future due to price momentum, natural gas lower than expected inventories and winter is just

Forex Analysis Report – 4/19/19…A Long Opportunity On GBP/INR

Theresa May got her wish, in recent weeks, European Union leaders have granted the UK a six-month extension to Brexit. However, with each delay/extension the risk of a “no deal” increases. Theresa, who had wanted a shorter delay, said the UK would still aim to leave the EU as soon as possible. Any suggestion that a ‘no deal’ Brexit will be entirely avoided would typically be associated with a strong rally in the British Pound.

In its first monetary policy for the financial year 2019, the Reserve Bank Of India central bank slashed the repo rate by 25 basis points to

Unusual Options Activity In Freeport-McMoRan – Part 2

Freeport-McMoRan (NYSE: FCX) engages in the mining of mineral properties in the United States, Indonesia, Peru, and Chile. The company primarily explores for copper, gold, molybdenum, silver, and other metals, as well as oil and gas.

In January I talked about how the Smart Money was betting on FCX to the upside.

Well, the Smart Money thinks earnings, although bad will be better than expected. But more importantly, the Smart Money is expecting some type of resolution / agreement between the US and China on tariffs because I noticed some unusual options activity in the March $13 strike call options.

Lol at those who don’t believe in Technical Analysis $AAPL

Supply, demand, and human emotions my friends. This is what makes a market. As you know I talk Markets all the time and constantly looking for great companies and stories. I combine fundamentals with technicals, but technicals usually tell me the fundamentals before hand.

News drives stocks, there is no doubt about that. However there are many times that the market tips its hand, or someone knows “something” that will initiate the technical move before the fundamentals hit. One example of technicals ruling is the $AAPL selloff. While $AAPL was at $250 I said that I would not buy it

Are You Ready For 5G??? – Part 3

Apple is the “best play” around 5G, noted tech investor Gene Munster told CNBC on Monday.Munster said anyone who thinks Apple will miss the 5G window has a “misguided view.”“There’s two basic views of owning Apple. One is that this is a product cycle company and that you own it … when numbers are negative around the iPhone in anticipation of the numbers turning positive,” he said. “5G … will clearly drive that.”The other is the idea of Apple as a service company, a “more sustainable model,” he added.“Both of those narratives should get a lift” from 5G, he said.

Sellers Are At It Again, But This Time It’s The Insiders

In 2018, shares of Tilray, went from $17 per share in July to just over $300 in August, an increase of more than 600%.  With a market cap at that reached over $10 billion, but with only sales of $28 million short sellers saw an opportunity.

Short interest on the stock spiked to about 3.5 million shares, approximately a third of the company’s overall float.  Many short sellers got burned on the way up, but the lucky few made a killing on the way down.

Because Tilray isn’t producing much cannabis now and its peak annual output is nothing to write home
