Speculators Are Betting Against The Euro

Speculators are betting heavily on a fall in the euro amid woeful economic data from Germany, its powerhouse nation.Hedge funds and other trading firms are short-selling £10.7 billion of euros, according to research by Goldman Sachs – meaning they make money if the value of the currency falls. The sum is £2 billion more than a week ago, suggesting investors are increasingly gloomy about the future prospects of the monetary union.

A Great Way To Play Oil Higher Is Through The ETF, XOP – Part 2

Two weeks ago, I discussed a great way to play the rise in oil was through the ETF, XOP:

A Great Way To Play Oil Higher Is Through The ETF, XOP

Oil prices (WTI) hit $60 on last week and is now up 30% year-to-day. One week ago, OPEC canceled their planned meeting in April, effectively extending supply cuts that have been in place since January until at least June. Prices have been further supported by U.S. sanctions against oil exports from Iran and Venezuela. One way to get involved with oil is through the SPDR S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production

The Band Continues to Stretch $6300 magnet. $BTC $ETH

The crypto band continues to stretch and many other crypto’s are striking first. Bitcoin is currently trading around $4200, however as the band stretches one can see the gravitation towards the massive breakdown area at $6300. This is pivotal because I can see the market forces taking prices there before analyzing the overall fundamentals and market conditions again deciding where to go forward. The breakdown area is a pivotal point where buyers threw in the towel and sellers pressed. This works in reverse as well. Now the sellers are on the run and the bulls need to show up.

Party Like It’s 1964 – Part 3

I talked about the Fed Powell leaving interest rates unchanged and for the first time since 2007, the three month bill vs. the 10 year note inverted.  I talked about the thought of the fundamentals finally catching up with the technicals and how the daily demand at 24900 was still in play, despite the potential triple top.  In this case, the triple top was being supported by the daily supply at 26550 which was within a monthly supply, so the chart suggested

Crypto Contest April 10: OriginTrail

OriginTrail (Bittrex: TRACBTC) has broken out of the triangle pattern in the daily chart.

Elliott Wave Analysis

In Elliott Wave terms, OriginTrail began a wave one (blue sub-waves i-ii-iii-iv-v) advance on March 15. The red wave one finished on March 26, and the red wave two (blue sub-waves a-b-c) correction ended on April 8. If this wave count is correct, OriginTrail should be heading next towards the March 26 peak in the red wave three.

Forex $1 MM Challenge – Trade #9 (4-9-19) Bought GBP/AUD

British Pound and the Australian Dollar have been two of the best-performing currencies in 2019.

Along with commodities, the Aussie is trying to stage a come back after declining 8% in 2018.  A US-China trade deal will surely send the Aussie higher, but if no deal is reached, be sure the Aussie will go lower.

There is discussion that European Council President Donald Tusk will this week propose to European leaders they offer the UK a 12-month “flexible” Brexit delay.  If the proposal is granted, a “no deal” Brexit is back off the table and the British Pound should rise.

Gold…The “Trade Of The Century” – Part 2

About three weeks ago, I wrote about gold, specifically, the SPDR Gold Trust, GLD, where I referenced one of last year’s best-performing hedge funds was saying to buy gold as the “trade of the century.”

Gold…The “Trade Of The Century”

But I cautioned to wait because the chart was suggesting to wait until price broke the monthly supply first…and with good reasons based on an article I came across today.

A week ago investors were yanking money out of gold exchange-traded funds as hints of improving global growth and surging stocks lure them into riskier assets. The largest fund in the space, the

More $BA Bad News

Boeing is down another 1.6% today with some news about fallen through contracts and deliveries being slashed. This has been a massive leader for the S&P and the Dow in the Mega Bull run and I am on the side BA is done. The “bitcoin like” parabolic rise is unsustainable and I believe the Max Rise stops here.

If BA gives back 360 and the MA there then stick a fork in it and bail. A hell of a run.

I last talked about Roku about one month ago.

Roku Rocking Again – Part II

While the S&P 500 had a great start to the year, Roku’s share price rose 47% in January and then rose 48% in February.  However, Tom Forte at DA Davidson though there was more room to the upside and at that time, he raised his price target on the stock to $80, calling Roku’s nascent streaming service a driver of future growth.

Nevertheless, the chart suggested to buy Roku if and when price pulled back to the daily demand level at $50.

Yesterday Roku was downgraded by Citi Research’s
