Forex $1 MM Challenge – Trade #16 (7-1-19) Sold USD/JPY

After meeting Chinese President Xi Jinping in Japan on Saturday on the sidelines of Group of 20 summit, U.S. President Donald Trump said he would hold back on tariffs and that China will buy more farm products.

Trump also said the U.S. Commerce Department would study over the next few days whether to take Huawei off the list of firms banned from buying components and technology from U.S. companies without government approval.

The yuan gained and the safe-haven yen slid against the dollar on Monday as appetite for risk-sensitive currencies improved after the United States and China agreed to restart their troubled trade talks.

Intermarket Relative Strength Analysis Report For The Week Starting 6/30/19

Instead of looking at financial markets or asset classes on an individual basis, intermarket analysis looks at several strongly correlated markets or asset classes, such as stocks, bonds and commodities. This type of analysis expands on simply looking at each individual market or asset in isolation by also looking at other markets or assets that have a strong relationship to the market or asset being considered.

The US economy is still the largest in the world and the US dollar is still the most powerful currency in the world.  Over half of all foreign currency reserves in the world are in US dollars.  Thus, the asset classes relative strength will be compared to the US Dollar.

World Stock Market Relative Strength Analysis Report For Week Starting 6/30/19

The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index (known commonly as the S&P 500) is an index with 500 of the top companies in the U.S. Stocks. Because the S&P 500 Index represents approximately 80% of the total value of the U.S. stock market, it’s the bellwether index for the U.S. stock market. In addition, the U.S. stock market is the largest stock market in the world, it’s also the bellweather for equity markets around the world. The S&P 500 is arguably the most important stock market index on the planet.

SPDR Sector Relative Strength Analysis Report For Week Starting 7/1/19

Sector rotation is the action of shifting investment assets from one sector to another to take advantage of cyclical trends in the overall economy in an attempt to beat the market.  Sector rotation seeks to capitalize on the theory that not all sectors of the economy perform well at the same time because sectors of the stock market perform differently during the phases of the economic and market cycle.

For example, defensive sectors such as consumer staples, utility and health care stocks tend to outperform during a recessionary phase, while consumer discretionary and tech stocks tend to fare well during early expansions.

When you trade, you want the strongest stocks in the strongest sectors, which is why you should monitor sector performance carefully.  With that said, lets determine the relative strength of the sectors relative to the S&P 500 ETF, SPY for the upcoming week.

Communication Services (XLC)

Consumer Discretionary (XLY)

Consumer Staples (XLP)

Energy (XLE)

Financials (XLF)

Health Care (XLV)

Industrials (XLI)

Materials (XLB)

Real Estate (XLRE)

Technology (XLK)

Utilities (XLU)

Forex Relative Strength Analysis Report For Week Starting 6/30/19

Some of the world’s currencies are accepted for most international transactions. The most popular currencies are accepted for most international transactions are the U.S. dollar, the euro, and the yen. However, the U.S. dollar is the most popular.

And in the foreign

assessing the relative strength of the most popular currencies in the world,
it’s always against the U.S. dollar, using the dailytime frame chart.

The “major” forex
currency pairs are the major countries that are paired with the U.S. dollar
(the nicknames of the majors are in parenthesis).

GBP/USD – British pound (Sterling or Cable) vs. the U.S. dollar

Exceptional moment to get more STEEM from your SBD (Rinse and Repeat!)

At the time of writing, you can get 2.604 STEEM per every SBD you have at the wallet… that is using the internal market but if you are using bittrex you have this:

1 STEEM = 0.3679086 USD

1 SBD = 0.98164784 USD

So, if you use BITTREX as exchange for SBD / STEEM trading you can get 2.668 STEEM per 1 SBD

Maybe not so much difference taking into account the extra costs that exchanges charges for trading or withdrawing…

So, I am going to use the internal market instead, let’s trade internally!!!

I am going to use one of my Steem accounts on which I used to deviate some SBD for savings:

Hey!! 57.564 STEEM per 21.814 SBD , so a rate of 2,6388 STEEM per SBD not a bad deal at all!!!

Now, just we need to wait till having a good moment to have better price for getting more SBD that would be when STEEM will be back again to 0.43 USD (remember that we have a STRONG HISTORICAL RESISTANCE at 0.43 USD)

This is one of the advantages of STEEM blockchain in comparison to the Exchanges. Many whales have been taking profits and increasing their earnings just by doing this simple trading operation INTERNALLY.

Remember, rinse and repeat!!!

Currency Analysis Report 6/28/19 – The Mexican Peso…Stuck In The Mud

Mexico’s central bank was divided in its decision to keep the key interest rate at a decade high Thursday, with one board member voting for a quarter-point cut as the economy sputters. There’s a consensus building that the U.S. will join central banks from Chile to Australia and cut rates next month amid prospects of slower global growth, and while analysts have been expecting no change from Mexico through year-end, the board may be preparing the way for an eventual reduction, said Alberto Ramos, the chief Latin America economist at Goldman Sachs Group Inc.“We still believe interest rate cuts this year

Look For Utilities and REITs To Continue To Outperform

The real estate investment trust and utilities sectors were the biggest losers of the S&P 500’s 11 key sectors, and their weakness was unanimous, as a big jump in Treasury yields helped lure investors away from the high-yielding sector. The SPDR Real Estate Select Sector ETF XLRE, -1.94% slumped 2.1% with all 32 of its equity components losing ground and SPDR Utilities Select Sector ETF XLE, +1.54% shed 2.0% with all 28 components declining. REITs are utilities are often seen as bond proxies, given their high yields, while the S&P 500 SPX, -0.12% eased 0.1%. The REIT ETF’s dividend yield
