BTT and the anatomy of an ICO

The bullish ICO beast has returned.

For me this represents both good and bad, a bitter-sweet taste of nostalgia.

BitTorrent Token (BTT) launched its ICO on the fairly new Binance Launchpad late last month. It wasn’t the first project launched on Binance (Gifto and Bread launched there too), but it was the first very popular one.

BTT has since listed in a flurry of hype and alarmingly high daily trading volume.

As an analyst this worries me a little. I’m worried because I fear that people may fall into the ICO pitfalls. Correction: people will fall into the ICO pitfalls; I’d like to

BITCOIN may have reached already its bottom

This is the BTC/USD weekly chart (BITSTAMP Exchange) and Relevant Strength Index Oscillator aka RSI indicator.

What could extract from this chart?

We can see clearly 3 long BEAR MARKETS despite since 2012, Bitcoin has crashed and rise 13 times with many of those falls larger in percentage terms than the latest 2018 correction.

Also, having a look on when the RSI has marked an OVERSOLD condition, it seems evident to discover that the first and the second LONG BEAR MARKETS finished at the very same point on which RSI touched that condition:

Actually if we zoom-in, the BEAR MARKET 2 touched two times

Bitcoin Technical Analysis: CONSOLIDATING BEFORE NEXT MOVE

Bitcoin continues consolidating right on top of the 0.786 fib level. It’s been testing the top of what appears to be a falling wedge, but has yet to break out above. Volume remains weak.

In today’s video analysis I discuss, where price may be heading next, a possible trade setup I’m preparing for, traps to avoid and so much more. I hope you find it helpful.

Ripple – we need to talk : Unofficial Part 4

This post wasn’t planned, but I’ve just stumbled across something too good not to share!

From [Public domain], via Wikimedia Commons

Having only completed my “Ripple – we need to talk” series two days ago, the temptation to make this impromptu Part 4 was too large to resist.

Remember back in Part 2 I discussed the Ripple team? The team with the ultra dodgy past of working for banks and large multinationals? Well this guy is one of them, more specifically, he’s the Ripple CTO:

From https://ripple.com/company/leadership/#david

Remember how I said that Ripple isn’t even a cryptocurrency? Remember how I hammered it for not

Word on the street is…

The price of BTC is driven by market sentiment.

That’s not the word on the street, that’s just a reminder of the basics of how markets work.

Word on the street is that BTC will move sideways during 2019.

How do I know this?

Metadata. For those who may be unsure of exactly what “metadata” means:

“Data that describes other data, serving as an informative label.”~ https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/metadata

You could think of me as a human data filter. Every day I siphon new crypto knowledge in, I process it, and then I spit out the results.

I’ve been siphoning up rather a lot

BITCOIN: The Eternal Falling Wedge

For the moment, BITCOIN is keeping a constant volume around 5.4b$, the “Falling Wedge” pattern still seems to be the more adapted to the current chart.

RSI oscillator moving inside the “safe” zone, nor oversold neither overbought conditions are in play.

As you can see in the chart, an “A-B-C” correction is still on going, last leg, “C” seems to be composed by 5 sub-waves from which the 5th is just in formation. This Five waves are disposed in a Falling Wedge Pattern which, as soon as BTC reaches the vertex , the likelihood of having an upwards movement increases.

In my opinion,

Ripple – we need to talk : Part 3

XRP – that will be the focus of today’s post. In Part 1 I introduced Ripple and alluded to my problems with it. In Part 2 I spoke about the characteristics of Ripple versus those of cryptocurrencies – to show that Ripple is not one.

From [Public domain], via Wikimedia Commons

I ended Part 2 by saying that XRP is performing very well versus the other cryptocurrencies (while not truly being one itself), meaning that it is popular and has many investors who hold it. It certainly has its fanatical XRPArmy!

But, the question remains, what’s in it for them? Is it

Bitcoin Technical Analysis: BULLS STRUGGLE… IS A LARGER MOVE COMING?

Bitcoin continues to bounce on top of the $3,400 support (on Coinbase). Volume has been declining over the past 48 hours.

Zooming out on the weekly chart, we get much better perspective on just how bearish this overall trend has been. Price broke below the $3,600 support. When it tried to break back above, $3,600 began to act as a strong resistance. The weekly chart suggests price may retest the prior low of $3,130 (on Coinbase). I’m not saying it will, but it’s a very real possibility. I discuss this much more, as well as the bullish scenario, in my video

BITCOIN: Bull Flag & Falling Wedge

I know, I know… I have been searching and telling you about it many times lately…

This is becoming boring…BITCOIN is moving terribly slowly…tracing a downtrend path which does not give us positive feelings right now. But, you know, Volume is the key right now. Volume has decreased a little every day, forming a “Falling Wedge” but, essentially is more or less constant if not flat at 5.5b$

The Bullish Divergence is still there and now BITCOIN is approaching to the upper resistance of this Falling Wedge. This breakage is the key now…

If, while approaching to this line, the Volume spikes then it

Ripple – we need to talk : Part 2

Yesterday I started to voice some concerns that I have about Ripple in the post: “Ripple – we need to talk“. I made the statement that “Ripple is not a cryptocurrency” and left quite a few open statements. Today I’m going to tell you why I say that as we look into ripple in a bit more detail.

As I said previously: I’m very concerned by all the pro-Ripple articles and sentiment which I am seeing at the moment. I believe that many people have been/are being misled and are uninformed. That is why I am writing this post. I also
