Well THAT didn’t take very long!

Do you remember when I wrote about “Private Blockchains”? You should, it was less than two weeks ago.

Perhaps you remember some of these quotes – all taken from the post linked to above:

“Private blockchains will never be a threat to cryptocurrencies as a whole. They can’t be because they are playing different games with different rulebooks.”

“Eventually the public will realise that public blockchains are better, cheaper, less restrictive, universally accepted, better at keeping up with technology, more durable, more secure, transparent, trustworthy …… After that awakening the private “cryptos” will mostly fall into disuse and decentralised chains …… will rule the

When last did you look at Oyster Protocol?

It’s probably been a while, hasn’t it?

That’s no doubt because the Oyster project effectively died when their evil project founder, Bruno Block, turned it into an exit scam by minting literally millions of illegal tokens and then quickly selling them.

For those unfamiliar with Oyster:

Oyster Protocol  was a project designed to get rid of adverts on webpages. In recent times we have seen may viruses hijack a little bit of CPU time of visitors to web pages. A visitor to a web page unwittingly becomes a crypto miner by having a small script turn their computer into a mining rig while

Channelling NEO

No this has nothing to do with conjuring spirits (wouldn’t it be funny if I blogged about this on Medium? ), besides, psychics, mediums etc are a bunch of charlatan frauds who prey on gullibility for profit – much like many scam cryptos out there!

I seldom blog about my favourite crypto, I’m not sure why. Perhaps I subconsciously assume that because I know all about it, so does everyone else. Maybe I should work at actively placing more NEO information into my blog posts, rather than just saying how great it is all the time.

Anyway, today I AM blogging about NEO because I

Crypto Snippets 2019 05 01

It’s been many moons since my last “Crypto Snippets” post, in fact my last one was 10 months ago. Looking through that old post, it’s amusing to see that I started it off by complaining that Ethereum had still not switched to PoS.  If I had only known…

A “Crypto Snippets” post is a multiple mini-discussion post centred on lots of little topics as opposed to one main one. Here we go:

Tether. Again.

I wrote about Tether last Friday, mentioning the problems with it and BitFinex. Since then I have seen much debate and uncertainty on online forums: people defending Tether and rumours that everything

One Chart, One Indicator – BTC 30 April

I’m trying something new today: a single chart with a single indicator/drawing tool on it. In theory this should give a nice no-clutter perspective of a single even or time period. If is goes well I may consider making more posts like it.

The chart I have chosen is a relatively long-term Bitcoin chart. The tool I have chosen is a Fibonacci Retracement Level overlay. Let us see what we can learn from a single chart and a single drawing tool.

Today’s chart runs from mid-2017 to the end of April 2019. If you follow my TA posts you may know that

Ripples in the fabric of XRP

Ripple is having a torrid time lately with FUD clearly affecting price. But is it just FUD, or is there more to it?

By now you know I’m no fan of Ripple. I’ve openly spoken about it and against it on multiple occasions, most notably in my series: “Ripple: we need to talk” (Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3).

I have warned, over and over again, that Ripple is centralised, closely aligned with crypto’s arch-nemesis (banks) and is unsustainable. I’ve stated that it can’t be defined as a real cryptocurrency. In my eyes it is much the same as JP Morgan’s own coin offering.

I

BINANCE: Price action is about to happen

Without so much time for writing today, so, short post here.

Symmetrical triangle formation on BINANCE, 4 hours chart:

Volume keeps being constant awhile Stochastic RSI on the daily chart indicates a good moment for buyers.

Every time Stochastic touches the lower limit there is a good jump upwards:

Price action is coming to BINANCE again and if we consider the historical data we have from the last three months the direction of the price movement must be upwards.

Target 28 USDT.

Stop Loss placed at 21.2 USDT.

Enjoy!

BTC/Crypto update 26 April

Well it looks like Tether has once again tried and failed to make an attempt on our lives.

With a consolidation period drawing to a close, BTC looked ready to attempt another breakthrough of the light resistance at $5600, and possibly to make its first assault on major resistance at around $6200.

Sadly Tether pulled another one of its old tricks and temporarily ruined the faith in the market.

There are many indications of new money being in the crypto market. (Sadly) we once again see rather immature market behaviour and overreaction to crypto market events. We have very strong volume now, more

List of Top 2019 Coins so far

This is not a “buy now” list. It’s not a “best performers” list. It’s not a list of coins that will do well for the rest of the year or a list of my favourite projects. It’s something like a combination of all of those.

What I did for this post was to look at the coins that have performed the best in 2019 – from 1 January to date. The market has generally been bullish and most coins have climbed during that time. As a reference: BTC is up 44.22%. For this list I chose coins which are up 100%

Private Blockchains

I read another one this morning, another article speaking of a company implementing blockchain tech. This time it was an insurance company. The type of company doesn’t really matter, I’ve read many such articles and the market sector varies between insurance companies, logistics companies, banks, medical companies etc. each making its own chain.

The immediate question which comes to mind is: “How will this affect cryptocurrencies?”, which is what I will answer today.

Private blockchains: Good or Bad?

Good.

Next Question please.

Why?

Private blockchains have much to offer the corporate world. I like the fact that every bank transaction I’ve ever made can be called
