Testing out Whaleshares 2.0

As the title of post says i just switched to Whaleshares beta Version 2 and for most part i can say that i like the redesign as well as some of the new features.

Separate wallet app.
Im mostly indifferent when it comes to this change. My question being:

Why?

Does it add to wallet security?
Im used to having the wallet integrated and usable by having one password so maybe im questioning this decision because of that.
As i said… I dont mind it but i dont feel it adds much, if anything to my user experience.

New Profile page.
When i saw the separate wallet app i thought they removed my ability to view my Stake, mana, etc. on my blog.. Was happy to see the rewards tab.
The profile page looks very modern and the side bars seem very helpful.
Large improvement in that regard.

Now a few negatives…

  1. Not being able to upvote a post unless i click, open and scroll through it is a big nono. I dont understand why you would add such a thing? Its a annoyance and affects user experience in a negative way.
  2. The post image size on blog front page is WAAAAY too big. When you have images this large then its incredibly tedious finding a post you might be interested in that was written 7-8 days ago..
The complete focus is on the last post.
My suggestion here would be to either keep the newest post image size as is and reduce the size of all others or put a post list on the right sidebar.

For most part i like the change and even though the text dealing with the negatives might seem long, i still find this update to be extremely positive. I would still like to see some more features added. Pending payout/pending curation being one of them, or an upgrade to the text customization.etc.

One interesting thing i read on the VER 2 announcement i would love if someone would share more info on was:

Ready for Monetization/Ads (Future Update)

Im super interested in seeing how exactly this would work?

Looking for the Turn… $NDX $SQQQ $SPX $DJI

Wow this market truly pushes you to the limits. After nailing the Christmas Eve bottom in the equities market I flipped back to being intermediate bearish once the DOW and SPX were hitting the 200 day and major resistance levels. The past few days and week or so are really testing the bears patience as they try and get EVERYONE BACK IN who sold off at the lows. This has been a grueling couple weeks especially after being up so much in a row. NDX is now at the 200 day and I have been timestamped bearish in the 7035

Confusion in the WHALE MARKETS! WLS vs. WHALECOIN

I love markets. It is one of my favorite things…and this is the type of things that make it fun! Recently, since @freedomexists brought his WHALECOIN back online we now have a market to compare WLS to. The whalecoins are markets withing WLS, however they should jive with one another. I am here to tell you that WLS is UNDERVALUED! Here is why…

I am constantly powering down my growing whalestake in order to put more WLS out on the open market for people to buy. With the inflation rate I think this is proper to do so others can stake

Accumulation/Distribution/Greed

Lately ive been thinking about the token distribution happening on STEEM and WHALESHARES.
For those that had an opportunity to read my thoughts on the current state of things know my position on what is happening right now on both platforms.
The biggest issue (outside development related things) both platforms are facing at this moment is pure, unchallenged greed or what you can call token accumulation maximization.
If i didnt call this “greed” and use a negative term for what is happening, most folks wouldnt see this as a bad thing. Thats mostly due to the topic being too broad.

The problem of greed we are facing basically means that the reward pool is tilted greatly on the side of maximizing accumulation.

So why is that bad?

Well for one it has a negative impact on the general sentiment on what is supposed to be a social media token redistribution platform, and it destroys what we call “proof of brain”.

Folks that did an analysis as to what percentage of the newly created STEEM goes to bots they came to a number of around 20%. Add to that upvote selling services, add selfvoting and circle jerks and you will get to a number indicative of the relation between accumulation and distribution.
How much of the inflation creating potential of SP holders returns right back to the pocket of those same SP holders.
I dont have the stats, but i think its fair to assume that its more then 51%.

Not only is this bad for the general sentiment, but its bad because by having poor distribution that also reduces the earning potential for new users which leads to diminished demand for the token.
What does that make of STEEM?
@acidyo wrote a post the other day about how great it will be once we have a million accounts with $1 upvotes supporting their creator of choice..

My question to that is:

If the token distribution is happening in the way it is right now, with tokens created going right back to the creators in percentages of 50%,60%,70%, 80%.., the inflation reducing every year, how will there ever exist such a middle class here?

What if with that the STEEM price goes up? Who is going to pay 10$ for a STEEM token to potentially get a fraction of a fraction of the tokens that are not going right back to the pockets of selfvoters, circle jerks, bots, vote sellers?

So really, why have upvotes anyways? Why have content? Why not just get rid of all that and simply pay out 100% of the upvote token amount back to the SP holder?

We all know fair well why.

Ill see you around. 😉

Turns Out I was Right…Jamie Dimon and his Weasel Move

It wasn’t that long ago that you saw this…“Jamie Dimon Slams Bitcoin as a Fraud”

As soon as this hit the news wire I had a feeling that Dimon was attempting to pull one of his weasel banker moves that banks pull daily througout the financial markets. See this is how it works. Banks funnel news in order to set up the actual move of the direction of the asset (which they know many times based on the inside sources and collaboration with other banks). In this case here is how it played…

Bitcoin had left the station “at the time” and

$SPX has hit the 200 day MA…

Over the past couple weeks with buyers stretching the tape to the upside it appeared that this 200 day tap was inevitable. In fact the Dow and SPX have both touched the 200 day and I expect the NDX to do this sometimes this week. One cannot dent that it appears this rally is pressing upwards until the shorts get squeezed and the fund managers have to chase. This is now 8 straight green candles on the SPY chart and many are on the sidelines (Including myself). This rally did not let anyone in.

So what now? With this extension we

$SPX Weekly Outlook: Neutral to Bearish

The US market has made the significant rally that was expected off the lows. The target was always the 200 day MA for starters and last week this target was essentially reached. I did not think it would happen this fast and this straight of a line, but the market doesn’t care what I think.

We are now overbought on momentum and I believe THIS AREA is where the continuation of the trend will be decided. ‘‘Tis very possible to chop in between the 2650 and 2800 area for multiple weeks. I believe the best case for the bulls is some

What Do We Know From the Chart? $BTC

It has been a grueling 12 months in cryptoland there is no doubt about that. From the top at the end of 2017, you can consistently see lower highs all the way down the chart below. IN FACT, there was NEVER a time that that a higher low even presented itself to me that was “Worth” buying…until now.

After price was pressed down against the 5800 level multiple times, it was only time until it broke. Now that the puke has happened it is then over the past month or so that we should be “watching”. I know you are wondering

Is TWTR a Buy Here?

TWTR has beaten earnings expectation on the bottom line and met the expectations on the top line, but is coming into market open down 8+%. I would say this is surprising given the price action, but I am not surprised at all. TWTR has a tendency to run up prior to earnings…and shit the bed no matter if the earnings are good or not.
I have been a longterm supporter of TWTR, and in fact have been o nthe platform for multiple years. I think it will continue to grow and has finally righted the ship after “being drunk” for multiple

WLS has a Bidder on the tape!…Support over 1.00 BTS

Whaleshares has a bidder on the tape! WLS is a fork of STEEM and has made some unique changes and growing in their own way. Whaleshares seems to be gaining traction and many have voiced their opinion that they “like” whaleshares better. Only time will tell and I believe there is a place for both! Logging on to bitshares I noticed something below…

Whaleshares has a bidder! Someone wants some WLS, about 45000 of them in fact. They are sitting on the bid as you can see in the photo.
They do not want to pay up for these considering the liquidity
