In Elliott Wave terms, Dusk began a wave one advance on July 14. The red wave one (blue sub-waves i-ii-iii-iv-v) finished on July 17, and the red wave two (blue sub-waves a-b-c) correction ended on July 19. If this wave count is correct, Dusk should be heading next towards the July 17 peak in the red wave three.
Dusk streamlines the issuance of digital securities and automates trading compliance with the world’s first programmable and confidential securities. Crypto Beadles interviewed the co-founder earlier this month.
Bank of America has filed for a patent for a settlement system citing the Ripple ledger, according to a filing on Google Patents.
The patent in question — the application of which was published on June 6 — describes a system using distributed ledger technology (DLT) as an interbank communication tool. The proposed system would enable real-time settlement with transactions being communicated through a shared, decentralized ledger to which both the banks would have access.
The decentralized network would both verify the identity of the payer and the payee and enable communication between the institutions. Notably, multiple illustrations included in the patent explicitly cite Ripple DLT. Ripple’s base asset and proposed settlement gateway asset XRP is not mentioned in the patent.
Among the barrage of commentary accompanying the Libra circus on Capitol Hill last week was a single short tweet from lawyer Marco Santori that summed up the core problem confronting Facebook’s cryptocurrency project – and, for that matter, any corporate-led effort of its kind.
Satoshi was following a Cypherpunk dream. He/she or they wanted to bring privacy to digital payments, to translate the offline experience of cash transactions into the online realm. The idea: that a user needn’t prove their identity to execute a transaction with anyone else on the Internet – just as there’s no need for me to show a document proving that I’m Michael Casey every time I hand over some dollar notes to someone.
Justin Sun, the founder of Tron and winner of the annual auction for a lunch with renowned investor Warren Buffett, has invited more notable figures from the crypto industry to attend.
Earlier today, July 21, Sun invited the founder and CEO of trading platform eToro, Yoni Assia, to the lunch with the chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway via tweet. Assia quickly responded saying, “Justin, it is my honor to join you for lunch with @WarrenBuffett. A big step for bridging between the traditional finance world and the new one!”
Yesterday, Sun invited the head of the Binance Charity Fund, Helen Hai. Hai reportedly responded within minutes and said the luncheon would be an opportune chance to discuss cryptocurrency and philanthropy. Binance Charity is the philanthropic arm of cryptocurrency exchange Binance.

Few trading tools are as simple and as elegant as the “Awesome Oscillator.”
First developed by American trader Bill Williams, the aptly named Awesome Oscillator (AO) is a momentum indicator that takes advantage of an immediate trend. The AO plots its data using a histogram, similar to how the MACD histogram functions, in that it delivers a buy and sell signal when the bars pass above or below the neutral 0 line.
But that is just one of its main features, the others involve taking stock of an asset’s momentum as well as any immediate change noticed via patterns on the histogram (more on that later).
The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index (known commonly as the S&P 500) is an index with 500 of the top companies in the U.S. Stocks. Because the S&P 500 Index represents approximately 80% of the total value of the U.S. stock market, it’s the bellwether index for the U.S. stock market. In addition, the U.S. stock market is the largest stock market in the world, it’s also the bellweather for equity markets around the world. The S&P 500 is arguably the most important stock market index on the planet.
Because we live in a global economy, the global equity markets interconnected and highly correlated. However, some will outperformance other in the short term and long term. When constructing an equity portfolio, for the best returns one needs to have the ability and the capacity to assess all the major equity markets around to asset allocation purposes. However, the first step is to determine the relative strength of the major equity markets, relative to the bellweather, the S&P 500.
DAX (Germany)
Dow Jones (US)
FTSE 100 (England)
Nasdaq (US)
Nifty 50 (India)
Nikkei 225 (Japan)
Shanghai (China)
Russell 2000 (US)
Based on the moving averages and the last daily closing price, relative to the moving averages,
the world equity markets’ relative strength, relative to the S&P 500 are the following:

Sector rotation is the action of shifting investment assets from one sector to another to take advantage of cyclical trends in the overall economy in an attempt to beat the market. Sector rotation seeks to capitalize on the theory that not all sectors of the economy perform well at the same time because sectors of the stock market perform differently during the phases of the economic and market cycle.
For example, defensive sectors such as consumer staples, utility and health care stocks tend to outperform during a recessionary phase, while consumer discretionary and tech stocks tend to fare well during early expansions.
When you trade, you want the strongest stocks in the strongest sectors, which is why you should monitor sector performance carefully. With that said, lets determine the relative strength of the sectors relative to the S&P 500 ETF, SPY for the upcoming week.
Communication Services (XLC)
Consumer Discretionary (XLY)
Consumer Staples (XLP)
Energy (XLE)
Financials (XLF)
Health Care (XLV)
Industrials (XLI)
Materials (XLB)
Real Estate (XLRE)
Technology (XLK)
Utilities (XLU)
Based on the moving averages and the last daily closing price, relative to the moving averages,
the SPDR sectors’ relative strength, relative to the SPY are the following:

Past few days saw crypto bounce after the hard sell-off. Ethereum really didn’t bounce as much as BTC and LTC and finds itself at an inflection point.
Resistance Levels and Moving Averages
Looking at the daily chart you can see price rallied and met the 10 period moving average to work off some of the extremely oversold status it was in.
This level also happens to be a prior support, right around 230. As we know once a support level is broken then it tends to act as resistance.
Thus, for price to go higher we need to see a push through this level and above the moving average. Generally this happens when there is a volume buying breakout.
I don’t know if the crypto market has this in the plans after the relief rally.
Bitcoin is looking a bit healthy and as if it could leg up again, while litecoin does have a nice V-bottom pattern going on, but also is just bouncing from the breakdown of a head and shoulders pattern.
It will be interesting to see how those coins play out as well because as we know. If those aren’t pushing higher its’ not likely ETH will either.
Yesterday we discussed the potential for a bull trap. I told you if the breakout was a bull trap, it’d likely reject at $11,050. That’s exactly what happened. As of now, price is again trading within the prior area of consolidation around $10,400.
Bears executed a simple death cross (50 MA below 200 MA) on the 4 hour chart a few days ago. Since then, bulls have been fighting to prevent a follow through exponential death cross (50 EMA below 200 EMA) on the 4 hour chart.
In today’s video we’ll discuss where price may go from here, key areas to watch, your questions and so much more. I hope you find it helpful.
I hope this has been helpful. I’d be happy to answer any questions in the comment section below. Until next time, wishing you safe and profitable trading.

Another stagnant-price week = Another Good Chance for building your account on the Steem blockchain = More chances to reinforce your Engagement
I don’t expect a brilliant recovery of the STEEM price in the coming short term future, however we cannot deny that this price level is perfect for reinforcing your SP. I don’t think we will see STEEM prices lower than the bottom reached lately unless BITCOIN and the whole market collapse again, of course…
STEEM price has crashed dramatically during the past weeks and months due mainly in my opinion to the permanent selling pressure of our friends of STEEMIT INC, however it is possible that STEEM has found a solid place around the 80th position out of the top 100 altcoins at the cryptomarket.
The chart below shows the weekly amount of Steem withdrawn to the exchanges (data extracted from @penguinpablo ‘s weekly report), as you can see, this week more than 1.8 Million Steem has been sent to the exchanges, 300,000 Steem more than the previous week:
But the position of STEEM at the Total Market Cap during the past 2 weeks have not changed so much despite we have lost capitalisation:
This is because even if the amount of the Liquid steem increases continuously, there are other altcoins that are suffering a selling pressure higher than STEEM even if they don’t have such increase of tokens coming to the market every week.
So I think this is very positive for STEEM.
Sellers prefer to sell other altcoins than Steem because there is a REAL VALUE in this crypto, better than any other useless altcoin. And you know why?
We have USE CASE
We have the best Community
We have the best developers
We have the best DApps out there
As I said, there will not be better time to build your SP than nowadays.
SBI Sponsoring
My SBI shares for this week are going to @kokoliso and @serlanvet . I am very happy for having met them here despite both are at Steem since quite some time already. Lately I have interaacted with them a lot and I think we have engaged very well, remember that “engagement” is one of the three magic words fro anyone to success at this blockchain, the other two are INVESTING and COMPOUNDING.
@kokoliso is an excellent photographer and traveller. Lately he has shared his experiences at Australia but now he is back at home (guess is San SEbastian in the Basque Country)
@serlanvet is a guy from north of Aragon, an historical region in the north of Spain. He is also an excellent photographer and naturalist who shares original pics and nice bucolic scenarios from the countryside near him.
Both of them get 2 shares of the @steembasicincome initiative, hope it will help them to reach minnowhood soon , despite I know it is not so much but helps at least…
All in all, they represent really good candidates for the #tenKminnows@steevc initiative,
This week’s recap reflects the intense regulatory and government scrutiny lavished on crypto in recent days. US lawmakers exhibited a wide-range of stances from recognition of BTC as ‘an unstoppable force ‘ to repeated calls to hit it with the ban hammer. This is just the beginning of a multi-year (decade?) debate on blockchain and cryptos. There are going to be many missteps and anyone hoping for a smooth transition to a post-legacy finance era is surely going be bitterly disappointed. Strap-in, be realistic and prepare for volatility – destination unknown.
Picks of the Week
Why BTC? – this article makes a convincing case. Ray Dalio has made a wildly successful career out of being ahead of the economic curve – his article on a pending paradigm shift in the global economy is fascinating.
A high stakes week with many more to come. The establishment is just beginning to sniff the existential danger crypto poses to the status quo – let the games begin!

Twitter & Reddit (cryptos current meta-brains) / Medium / Trybe / Hackernoon / Whaleshares / TIMM and so on/ YouTube / various podcasts and whatever else I stumble upon. The aim is a useful weekly aggregator of ideas rather than news. Though I try to keep the sources current – I’ll reference these articles and podcasts etc. as I encounter them – they may have been published just a couple of days ago or in some cases quite a bit earlier.
In Elliott Wave terms, Aeon began a wave one advance on May 15. The red wave one (blue sub-waves i-ii-iii-iv-v) finished on May 28, and the red wave two (blue sub-waves a-b-c) correction ended on July 13. If this wave count is correct, Aeon should be heading next towards the May 28 peak in the red wave three.
Some of the world’s currencies are accepted for most international transactions. The most popular currencies are accepted for most international transactions are the U.S. dollar, the euro, and the yen. However, the U.S. dollar is the most popular.
And in the foreign exchange market 90 of forex trading involves the U.S. dollar. Thus, when assessing the relative strength of the most popular currencies in the world, it’s always against the U.S. dollar, using the dailytime frame chart.
The “major” forex currency pairs are the major countries that are paired with the U.S. dollar (the nicknames of the majors are in parenthesis).
AUD/USD – Australia dollar (Aussie) vs. the U.S. dollar
EUR/USD – Euro vs. the U.S. dollar
GBP/USD – British pound (Sterling or Cable) vs. the U.S. dollar
NZD/USD – New Zealand dollar (Kiwi) vs. the U.S. dollar
USD/CAD – U.S. dollar vs. the Canadian dollar (Loonie)
USD/CHF – U.S. dollar vs. the Swiss franc (Swissie)
USD/JPY – U.S. dollar vs. the Japanese yen (the Yen)
Based on the moving averages and the last daily closing price, relative to the moving averages,
the currency relative strength relative to the US dollar is the following:
