? Blockchain Startup Bison Trails Receives $5.25 Mln Investment Backed by Galaxy Digital

New blockchain startup Bison Trails has received an investment of $5.25 million in a seed round backed by Mike Novogratz’s crypto merchant bank Galaxy Digital. The firm announced the fundraising in a Medium post on March 15.

newLed by two early stage venture capital firms Initialized Capital and Accomplice, the series seed round was also backed by both Galaxy Digital and blockchain-focused asset management firm Distributed Global. Other investors included Notation Capital, Homebrew and Charge Ventures.


Bison Trails’ blockchain infrastructure is designed to offer a way to launch secure, available and geographically distributed nodes on a participatory blockchain network, the press release notes. The Bison Trails platform enables a number of blockchain tools including staking, validating, voting, transacting and securing blockchain protocols.

? New Report Warns 87 Percent of Cryptocurrency Exchange Volume Is Potentially Suspicious

Almost 90 percent of cryptocurrency exchanges’ reported trade volumes may be incorrect, new research from trading analytics platform The Tie warned in a digest released on March 18.


Reporting on figures gathered from 97 exchanges, researchers found that the vast majority of the volume claimed to come from users may not in fact exist.


The revelations came as a result of calculations of lesser-known exchanges versus well-known businesses such as Binance and Kraken.

? IBM Signs 6 Banks to Issue Stablecoins and Use Stellar’s XLM Cryptocurrency

IBM is taking its banking clients a step closer to cryptocurrency.

Announced Monday, six international banks have signed letters of intent to issue stablecoins, or tokens backed by fiat currency, on World Wire, an IBM payment network that uses the Stellar public blockchain. The network promises to let regulated institutions move value across borders – remittances or foreign exchange – more quickly and cheaply than the legacy correspondent banking system.


So far three of the banks have been identified – Philippines-based RCBC, Brazil’s Banco Bradesco, and Bank Busan of South Korea – the rest, which are soon to be named, will offer digital versions of euros and Indonesian rupiah, “pending regulatory approvals and other reviews,” IBM said.

? Citi Has Scrapped Its Plan for a JPM Coin-Like Bank-Backed Cryptocurrency

In light of the splash JPMorgan made recently with its plan for a bank-backed cryptocurrency, it’s worth remembering another big institution first tested a token to connect global payments – back in 2015.

Codenamed “Citicoin,” the project out of Citigroup’s innovation lab in Dublin was never formally announced by the bank, even as a proof of concept. The idea was to streamline global payment processes. As such, there are obvious parallels with the much-vaunted JPM Coin.

However, having taken stock of the experiment (not to mention the scorn of the bitcoin community at that time) Citi concluded that, while the technology has the potential to live up to its promises, there were other more effective and efficient ways of making improvements in payments.

? Largest Swiss Online Retailer Digitec Galaxus Now Accepts Cryptocurrencies

Leading Swiss online retailer Digitec Galaxus has announced that it will now accept cryptocurrencies, according to a press release published on March 19.


Per the announcement, the shop is now accepting Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Bitcoin SV (BSV), Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP), Binance Coin (BNB), Litecoin (LTC), Tron (TRX), NEO (NEO) and OmiseGO (OMG) for purchases worth over CHF 200 (about $200). The release further claims that the shop hosts around 2.7 million products, ranging from wheat beer to gaming PCs.


The new payment method was reportedly jointly developed as part of a pilot project with Swiss payment processor Datatrans and in collaboration with Danish crypto payments startup Coinify. The system opens 15-minute-time windows for customers, during which the crypto exchange rate doesn’t change in order to make the payment with a fee of 1.5 percent.

Nothing really new on the STEEM. We are staying really next than our support/resistance level in blue on the chart and the market is waiting for a Break Out to know the future direction for the STEEM. It is a similar pattern on all other cryptos but also on the master, the BTC. Let’s see which direction we will take in the coming days but at least, we had really a change of trend these last weeks but for sure we will have also some new corrections in a near future.

Crypto Contest March 19: Achain

Elliott Wave Analysis

In Elliott Wave terms, Achain began a wave one advance on January 11 this year. The red wave one finished on January 13, and the red wave two correction ended on January 28. The red wave three advance finished on February 23, and the red wave four correction ended on March 11. If this wave count is correct, Achain should be heading next towards the February 23 peak in the red wave five.

Litecoin: where should you sell?

It’s been a good quarter for LTC: ever since mid December 2018 LTC has been gaining on BTC. But since we know that what goes up must come down; where/when should we sell our LTC?

The current LTC climb is a strong one. I say this because LTC is typified by short, sharp price climbs and long, slow price falls thereafter. The current climb is slow and steady, which leads me to believe that it may be a particularly strong one. (See the CMC chart below):

Michaels Need A Miracle

The Michaels Companies, Inc. owns and operates arts and crafts specialty retail stores for Makers and do-it-yourself home decorators in North America. It operates Michaels stores, Aaron Brothers stores and Pat Catan’s stores.

Going into their quarterly earnings tomorrow, I noticed bearish unusual call options.  The Smart Money bought over 2,500 Apr $10 strike call options.

Despite Michaels expecting to deliver a year-over-year increase in earnings on lower revenues and delivering positive earnings surprise in three of the last four quarters, the stock price is down almost 50% in the last three years.

Printing a koda trace (screen print positive) with the Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 (lucia pro inks)

Most guides say you need dye based inks, RIP software, custom black inks, epson printer or double printing.

The pro-1000 breaks all these rules and prints screen print positives very easily.

This is due to the Lucia pro inks containing UV blockers. This means you don’t need to print a truly opaque black layer, just a layer that can block out UV.
Therefore you don’t need RIP software to lay down maximum ink, you don’t need to risk damaging your printer by adding 3rd party custom inks, you don’t need dye based inks, epson printer or double printing.
I’ve even found that you can print a koda trace with red or yellow ink, which when held up to the light are not opaque and look like they would not block enough light to make a
successful screen, but because the ink has UV blockers it works!

To print a Koda trace (screen print positive) on the Canon pro-1000 you will need some inkjet positive film. I use Posiprint screen film 130mic from colourbyte in the UK.

If you are in a different country, look for a film that is specifically made for screen print positives. I wouldn’t recommend just going for a cheap acetate.

Once you have your design. open it in your DTP program or printing software. I use Photoshop.
In Photoshop you open the print studio pro plugin.
Then set your media type to :
Photo Paper Plus Glossy II .
Set your colour mode to :
Black and white photo
Print quality to :
High or highest

I’ve found that the screen film prints better using the manual feed tray and not the rear tray. I’ve nearly had a sheet get stuck in the rear tray.

Exposing the screen to UV light with the positive placed under the screen.

Wash the screen then leave to dry.

tape your paper down, place the screen on top then squeegee your ink through.

Finished screen print.

Greetings Scripsios,

We enjoy providing updates on how we’re improving the site. And, other than tech challenges here and there, usually we’re able to focus on tweaking to improve the site. While we have some nice improvements to share, we’ve faced some challenges recently.

This week we’ve seen a rash of attacks on user accounts. After quite a bit of chasing our tails, we think we have it figured out. Let us know if you get an email regarding failed login attempts unrelated to your activity.

Remember, you can post regular streaming content on Scripsio at any time. It’s simply a social site, complete with groups, chat and social streaming. You can also make blog entries, which can go to Steem as well. Come check it out. Learn more, including about our vote sharing, on Scripsio’s About page.

Post Scheduling

As you likely know, you can already schedule a blog entry to post at a later time. This is especially helpful if you plan on posting a series that you’ve already authored and want them to go out in regular intervals.

But now we can offer another scheduling perk. You can schedule any post to your own stream. There are limitations. For example, you can schedule a post to a group and those tagged will not be notified. We’ll try to fix that in the future, but for now the option is there for those who find it useful.

Expanded Markdown Usage

You can now use Markdown in your profiles. This will be a nice way to add some depth and a more dynamic look to your user profile.

Various Formatting Improvements

There are a lot of things that get worked on just to make the site look better and perform in ways that aren’t readily apparent, but improve user experience. Some of these recently included:

  • Header blends better with page
  • Font improvements
  • Post category more intuitive
  • Image layout

Other Fixes

There are a lot of other little fixes we’ve made along the way. Some you might notice. Others make us happy because we know it’s a passive way to improve the Scripsio experience. Let us know if you pick up on one of them. We’d be very interested to find out if anyone notices. 🙂
