? For People To Trust Blockchains, We Need Good Storytelling

On April 10, 2010, Cherie Aimée was rushed to the hospital for chronic shortness of breath. Within minutes of reaching the emergency room, Aimée had flatlined: Her heart had stopped, she was unresponsive for 90 minutes, and CPR did not work.

But Aimée survived. For four months she lived on life support. “I had no heartbeat,” Aimée said during her keynote at Decentralized 2018, “but what kept me alive was a modern, innovative technology.” A Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) sustained Aimée for about five years until she was able to get a heart transplant.

? Crypto Companies Still Run Into Trouble Opening Bank Accounts

Companies in the cryptocurrency industry still have trouble opening bank accounts, major financial publication Bloomberg reported on March 3.

The report cites the complaint of Sam Bankman-Fried, CEO of quantitative crypto trading company Alameda Research, that “the standard answer of ‘just go to your local Chase branch’ doesn’t work in crypto.” Bankman-Fried also added that it is not illegal for banks to serve crypto businesses, but “it’s a massive compliance headache that they don’t want to put the resources in to solve.’’

? Coinbase: Former Provider Sold User Data to Third Parties, Prompting Neutrino Acquisition

Christine Sandler, Coinbase’s director of institutional sales, has defended the crypto exchange’s controversial acquisition of blockchain intelligence firm Neutrino. In an interview with financial news channel Cheddar on March 1, Sandler said that previous client data providers were selling Coinbase user data to outside sources.

As reported, major United States crypto exchange and wallet Coinbase first announced the Neutrino acquisition on Feb. 19, saying it would make use of the startup’s advanced blockchain analytics tools, Anti-Money Laundering and Know Your Customer technology.

? Utah Bill Would Exempt Blockchain Firms from Money Transmitter Act

A lawmaker from the U.S. state of Utah has introduced a bill that would stop blockchain firms from being classed as money transmitters.

Republican senator Daniel Hemmert filed senate bill 213 last week, proposing that any person who “facilitates the creation, exchange, or sale” of certain blockchain-related products should be exempted from the state’s Money Transmitter Act.

The bill also aims to create a legislative group called the “Blockchain Pilot Project Evaluation Task Force” to study the potential of the technology in government services.

? An In-Depth Look at Ethereum’s Maker and Dai Stablecoin ](https://news.bitcoin.com/an-in-depth-look-at-ethereums-maker-and-the-stablecoin-dai/)

Since tether (USDT) bolstered the idea of a working stablecoin over the last few years, there’s been a variety of different types of stable cryptocurrencies that are usually pegged to the U.S. dollar. However, there’s one particular stablecoin that’s been a hot topic of discussion lately called dai, a coin that’s backed by ethereum locked into a smart contract.

The Maker team consists of CEO Rune Christensen, CTO Andy Milenius, President Steven Becker and roughly 18 other leaders. The community is relatively small but has been growing since the project’s inception. Maker and the stablecoin dai community have a blog, a chat forum, and its own subreddit where individuals discuss the nascent ecosystem. At press time, dai is ahead of the stablecoin GUSD with the 55th largest market capitalization of around $89.3 million.

STEEM Trading Update by my friend @cryptopassion

Here is the chart of yesterday :

image.png

Here is the current chart :

image.png

So today we had a nice bounce from the support line at 0.39$ as expected but we haven’t been able to break the previous TOP. We are now doing a pattern called double top which is a bearish pattern. This pattern will be validated if we break the support line at 0.39$, so nothing is done yet. Just keep that scenario in mind. If that support line creates a new bounce, the double TOP will be invalidated and we should try to break the previous TOP again.

Binance Does It Again

Despite the Crypto bear market in 2018 and despite 70% of ICO projects failing, ICOs were still able to raise over $10 billion in 2018.  This might be exactly why Binance launched their own ICO ecosystem called Launchpad.  And it make sense…projects have immediate access to potential funding from Binance’s 10 million users.

Binance Launchpad’s second sale, Fetch.AI (FET), has just concluded within seconds of opening, suggesting investor demand for utility tokens has revived considerably.

More than 69M Fetch.Ai tokens were sold within twenty-two seconds of the token sale opening at 14:00 GMT on Monday. Binance founder and CEO, Changpeng Zhao,

Bitcoin Technical Analysis: CONSOLIDATING BEFORE NEXT MOVE

Since my last update we’ve seen 2 small stop hunts. Price briefly broke down to $3,650, then promptly returned to $3,800. It then quickly jumped to $3,910 before promptly returning to the $3,800 support. This kind of thing is often seen prior to a larger move.

Zooming in on the 4 hour chart, we can see the Bollinger bands are extremely tight. The 8, 21 and 55 day EMA’s have converged almost on top of each other. This is another indication price is getting ready to move.

In today’s video analysis I discuss, where price may be heading next, traps to avoid,

Bitcoin – The future becomes clearer

Old age is difficult. I went to my PC to type my blog post – topic firmly in mind. After finally catching up on all recent post comments, other interesting posts and typing a few replies… … I had no idea what my topic was anymore. Fortunately I keep a long list of “topics I will one day get to” – so I opened up my list and picked one. As I was about to start typing, I glanced at the BTC chart and noticed something I hadn’t noticed before. One more topic change later and here we are! Today

Holo what?

Despite evidence to the contrary, no I did not drop off the face of the Earth after writing my last article.

I’ve actually been blogging, more so than usual, just not in my usual place.

About a week ago I published my first article on Trybe. Don’t worry I published it here first, you didn’t miss out on anything!

TIMM and Trybe have a working relationship. As Timmians we were encouraged to participate in this Trybe-based competition.

That’s what I’ve been up to these last few days. I finally submitted my article a few hours ago; wish me luck!

The competition is an interesting

Centralized exchanges are parasites and you really cant trust “Coinmarketcap” numbers.

Ill try and keep this short. As you folks already know there is this extremely developed dependence of Crypto on crypto exchanges. This dependence is so perverse that getting listed/unlisted can make or break a crypto project.

And of course, since crypto exchanges arent regulated they completely abuse that fact doing what is basically stealing. Falsely presenting financial information based on which they charge crypto projects disgustingly large fees.

Im not well versed in financial law, but even what they are doing isnt criminal activity, its fraudulent and unethical.

Very simply put:

Out of the top 25 BTC pairs on Coinmarketcap only 2 arent massively inflating volume according to blockchaintransparency.org

Apparently only Binance, Bitfinex and Liquid are legit. How does this fit in with market analysis when there are exchanges that have actual volume at only 1% of reported volume?

1%

Bold italic with the biggest heading.

There is simply no denying that centralized exchanges are parasites that pray on new projects and take advantage of them.

Data suggests that an average project spent over $50,000 in listing fees to exchanges on the advisory list (of blockchaintransparency.org) this year. This totals over $100 million stolen in 2018 via listing fees, with some exchanges making over $1 million from this alone.

If im honest i wouldnt even trust that Binance and Bitfinex arent doing shady things when you look at everyone else. Still, the list (if you decide to trust it. Cant trust nothing nowadays) absolves them.

It simply amazes me that after 10 years of bitcoin we are so dependent on centralized fraudulent institutions. And in crypto of all things. Isnt that something we wanted to escape? Something we are fed up with?

Anyways, as always, scammers can go to hell.

Ill see you around.

Ripple’s mission is to provide bank solutions allowing for faster payment settlement and lower foreign exchange fees.  So they created the digital currency / ledger XRP.

Today, Coinbase added support for XRP to its retail platform and mobile apps and made the announcement on their blog. The exchange announced the development in a blog post on Feb. 28.

XRP is the cryptocurrency used by the XRP ledger, which supports international currency exchange and remittances. The ledger is powered by a network of peer-to-peer servers. All accounts on this network can send or receive XRP to/from each other, while XRP can be used

Bitcoin Technical Analysis: VOLUME TAPERS OFF AS THE MARKET STALLS

Bitcoin continues to consolidate right around the $3,800 support. Volume is slowly dropping off.

Looking at the 4 hour chart, the Bollinger bands are severely bottlenecking. This suggests price is preparing to move.

In today’s video analysis I discuss where price may be heading next, key areas to watch and so much more. I hope you find it helpful.

Accumulation Phase

Last BITCOIN rise may have confirmed, IMO, the entry in the Accumulation Phase. This period of time may take weeks or months and it is characterized by a movement between range of price which can be clearly identified in the Daily Chart.

For instance, on 2015, BITCOIN defined the Key levels as follows:

Upper Resistance Level were tested at least three times during this period while the Bottom Support was tested twice, forming a double bottom, W-Pattern which is a bullish pattern. There was as well an intermediate support on which BTC rebounded a few time too.

On 2015, the accumulation phase
