Best of TV // Ancient Aliens

image.png

I think i might have found myself a new awesome show to watch on TV.
There is basically only 4 programs i ever watch. I dont watch the news, i dont watch movies on TV, i dont watch reruns of Friends. (20 times was enough)
Im a football fan and i dont even watch that at home. I go to the pub.

The only time i turn my TV on is during dinner and only to watch watch the documentary channels. History channel, National Geographic, NatGeo, Discovery channel, etc.

Last few weeks i watched almost every day a docu-series called:
“Second World War in color” (or something similar).
But as all things the series came to an end. There are only so many second world war stories you can tell. We know, the bad guy shoots himself in the head at the end.

I was looking for something else that would peak my interest again and just today did i run into the perfect show for me.

ANCIENT ALIENS

Most of you have heard about this show. If not by watching the show, but from the memes that were popular at one time.

image.png

As much as i am a subscriber of what you would call “rational skepticism” and the show completely goes against my worldviews i could not have been more entertained.

Dont get me wrong, the show is completely bonkers and not a single thing they say has any basis in reality but the stretch they make from “mystery A” to “Its Aliens” is so brilliant that it cant not entertain you.

Im someone that loves mystery, fiction, high fantasy. Im a fan of old Greek mythology, Norse mythology, Christian mythology. Anything that gives a larger then life explanation of the world and makes extremely bold claims.
Theres something very magical in seeing how people perceive the world or used to perceive the world around them.
I felt that this show really fell right in there perfectly and i loved it right away.

The episode i watched today was about “dissapearing” islands. (I think it was season 6)
There was this island in Micronesia (i think) called “Sandy Island,” (you can look it up) and in the show instead of looking at more realistic conclusions like:

It was a human error in map making, the island never really existed….

They immediately went with (mind you, without any evidence whatsoever and not a single thing that would even point to alien presence):

Its an Alien base that is hidden by stealth technology where Alien ships come to refuel. (I kid you not)

And how am i not supposed to think this show is brilliant. 😀

Theres also this sentence the narrator keeps repeating that just makes me giggle every time. Its one of those sentences you pick when you play a drinking game.

Could it be possible that alien, dot dot dot….

Its pretty obvious why the show has to do that. The context isnt really changed, but with a presentation like this, what they can do with the narrative expands greatly.
Since this is a nonsense show, that has basically Mulder wannabes presenting the topics, if they claimed with any degree of certainty that “It was Aliens“, they would get a lot of backlash. Instead what they do is turn this into a “What if show”, or a “mystery show”.

Anyways. Just wanted to share that. lol.

So… have you guys seen this show, what did you think?
Have you been probed by aliens?
If you ran into an alien, would you want Mulder with you or Ripley?

haha. Ill see you around. Keep on Steeming and Whalesharing. 😀

Don’t Take My Word For It, Just Ask The Kroger Insiders

Three weeks ago, I wrote a post about the demise of Kroger Supermarket,

Kroger Is Getting Amazoned

And now it’s not just in the digital world that Kroger must compete against Amazon.  The Wall Street Journal reported last week that Amazon is planning to open dozens of grocery stores in several U.S. cities.Kroger is in the process of getting Amazoned…oh, I already said that, but need to emphasize this point before going to the monthly chart.

Corporate officers and members of the board of directors have deeper insight into a company’s operations than any analyst or hedge fund.  Quite simply, they are in

Elliott Wave Analysis

In Elliott Wave terms, ION began a wave one advance in February 2017. The red wave one (blue sub-waves i-ii-iii-iv-v) finished in January 2018, and the red wave two (blue sub-waves a-b-c) correction ended in March this year. If this wave count is correct, ION should be heading next towards the January 2018 peak in the red wave three.

Bitcoin – implications of the rise

This post builds on what I said yesterday in “Bitcoin – What’s Happening?“. Today I will once again use a pseudo-point form style to look at the most important aspects of the Bitcoin / Crypto market and its most recent happenings.

ETFs

Last discussed in my post “A(nother) word on Bitcoin ETFs” two months ago, I have said over and over again how unnecessary ETFs are for Bitcoin or cryptocurrency success. The latest price movements prove me correct and will will prove me increasingly correct as time goes on. More on this later in this post.

Bull Trap

Yes this is a bull trap.

No you should not

? Japan: Crypto Trading Platform Liquid Hits Unicorn Status With Over $1 Billion Valuation

Japanese crypto trading platform Liquid has hit unicorn status with the first close of an ongoing Series C funding that puts the company valuation at over $1 billion. The news was reported by Cointelegraph Japan on April 3.

Liquid’s parent company is Quoine, a global fintech company licensed by Japan’s Financial Services Agency.

As Cointelegraph Japan reports, the fresh funding and new valuation makes Liquid the country’s second unicorn in the tech startup space — the other being artificial intelligence firm Preferred Networks, which is backed by Toyota, Fanuc, Hitachi and others.

? Russian Banks Join Chinese Swift – Is the Dollar Era Under Threat

As a Saudi oil minister once remarked, the Stone Age didn’t end because we ran out of stones. It seems it’s neither the deficit of a tool nor its deficiencies that make it obsolete, but rather the invention of new tools that do the job better. With increasing competition, will the U.S. dollar continue to be the world’s primary currency, will it come to be just one of several reserve fiat currencies, or will cryptocurrency become the new instrument that powers the global economy?

No one can predict exactly how long the greenback era is going to last. What’s certain is there are different camps that want to end it for various reasons. And if cryptocurrencies are taken into account, there’s an evolutionary push in that direction as well. Bitcoin is an alternative to all traditional, government-issued currencies, of which the dollar is the most recognizable.

? $255 Million: Coinbase Confirms Extent of Crypto Insurance Coverage

Coinbase has revealed the details of its insurance arrangements for cryptocurrency held on customers’ behalf, a rare move in an opaque market.

In a blog post published Tuesday, Philip Martin the exchange’s vice president of security, confirmed that it is covered for up to $255 million for coins held in so-called hot wallets – in other words, assets which are essentially online and open to potential hacks. CoinDesk first reported in November that Coinbase’s coverage was in this ballpark.

San Francisco-based Coinbase holds less than 2 percent of customers’ assets in hot wallets, with the remaining 98 percent at arm’s length from third-party attacks in cold storage, where the private keys are offline, the company told CoinDesk. (At its height during the crypto bull market, the company stored $25 billion worth of assets on customers’ behalf, but the company would not provide a recent figure.)

? PayPal Makes Its First-Ever Investment in a Blockchain Startup

Online payments giant PayPal has made its first-ever investment in a blockchain technology company.

Announced today, PayPal has joined the extension of a Series A funding round in Cambridge Blockchain, a startup that helps financial institutions and other companies manage sensitive data using shared ledgers.

Neither PayPal nor Cambridge Blockchain disclosed the investment amount, but recent filings with the SEC indicate that Cambridge Blockchain has raised a total of $3.5 million in new equity from several investors over the past nine months. That follows the $7 million close of its Series A in May of 2018, and brings the total capital raised to $10.5 million.

? 61% of Major Global Digital Firms Invest in Blockchain, Report Finds

61 percent of high-profile digital companies worldwide are investing in blockchain, according to a report by identity management firm Okta shared with Cointelegraph on April 2.

San Francisco-based enterprise identity provider Okta has released a survey on new trends in technological developments and business opportunities of the world’s largest companies.

In its first “Digital Enterprise Report,” Okta surveyed 1,050 IT, security and engineering decision makers from global companies with at least $1 billion in revenue. Okta explained that decision makers were defined as someone at the company who is “responsible for making technology purchasing decisions.”

STEEM Trading Update by my friend @cryptopassion

Here is the chart of yesterday :

STEEMUSD.jpg

Here is the current chart :

STEEMUSD.jpg

The STEEM had a nice UP also today due to the big move of the BTC. However we are still stuck under that resistance line around 0.49$ and you can see on the chart that we are not able to break it… This resistance line is becoming kinda annoying but let’s stay positive that we can break it very soon.

Crypto Analysis Report 4-2-19…Has Bitcoin Bottomed??? – Part 2

Back on 12/30 I wrote a post about Bitcoin,

Crypto Analysis Report 12-30-18…Has Bitcoin Bottomed???

After coming within $200 of pivot low that was established back in Sept of 2018, buyers have stepped up their game. However, the crucial level remains the daily supply at $4500. If price can breached that level, price has a chance of moving higher. So the question becomes is there still pain for Bitcoin and are we in the process of bottoming? It is my opinion that there is more upside, then downside…2019 should be an interesting year for Bitcoin.

Since that time, Bitcoin had been stuck between $3,500

BITCOIN: “Don’t say “wheat” until it is in the bag and well tied”

…or as we say in Catalan Language: “no diguis blat fins que no sigui tot al sac i ben lligat” which means that despite the extraordinary rise of BITCOIN today, which as I wrote yesterday as a first option to happen in this post , we still cannot say the reversal is confirmed yet.

This is the chart I presented as an option 1 yesterday:

And this is how it looks today:

That long daily candle has crossed the 200

Bitcoin – What’s happening?

I’m glad I got yesterday’s post published in time. Though (as always) it was my “Scenario B” that happened to play out, at least my readers can’t say that they weren’t warned about the breakout.

Recap and update of yesterday’s post:

A quick recap of what I said about the breakout scenario (before it happened) yesterday – with comments on each statement now that the breakout has occurred:

After a general climb of nearly eight weeks, Bitcoin has finally reached the “GO / NO GO” point.A “GO” situation means that BTC will break free from the current pattern – a converging triangle – and
